Thanks for the info!

This was very helpful. I will definitely be riding there next week.

Do you maybe have additional info such as GPS Coordinates?

Hey Dubber,

Nope - sorry - don't have a vehicle GPS.

Took my Edge 305 along, but the thick forest cover was screwing it around.

Pop in to the bike store in Kynsna near the Waterfront - they'll give you all the direction info you'll need.

Pretty sure the same will apply if you're coming from the Plet side of things...

Was in George last week and wanted to head out there for a ride, but luckily we phoned ahead as the region has had heavy rains.

It's something to keep in mind as well, as the route is often closed after heavy rains.

You need to go and do the ride from Petrus se Brand. It starts at Diepwalle Forestry Station and ends at the Garden of Eden where you started the HArkerville ride.

Thanks Dawie,

Will definitely be doing Petrus next.

Will be in Grootbrak in December, and might make the trek north for the day.

:D

Definitely the best scenic route I have EVER done( Red Route )

This time will do first lap fast, second lap take in the scenery. Good 1000m climb over 48km.

Will be going there end of April!!!clap.gif

Is there co-ordinates available from where Petrus se brand route starts?

It is worth doing the Petrus se Brand route both up and down, starting at Garden of Eden, riding up to Diepwalle, and then back to Garden of Eden. Its about 50 km of great riding - woth it just for the short but fun single track at the end as you approach the N2.

Taking the wife and little boy up to Plett mid April for a week, and was wondering how safe it is to ride these MTB routes alone? With all these attack topics on the go, feeling a little nervous!

Was planning on taking the road bike and sticking to the areas around Plett, but would love to take my MTB instead!
