Can some cyclist just not read or are they just F@#king stupid.

twice on sunday at northern i almost had a bad accident because of idiots driving the wrong way down the single track.

These single trackes are clearly marks "ONE WAY DO NOT ENTER" mean come on guys this is noy higher grade stuff i alomost had to put my expensive carbon bike through a barb wire fence just because some clown couldnt see or just didnt care.

Thank you Avid for the juicey ultimates or i would be writing this from hospital.

and the response i get from the other guy once i say did you not see the one way sign was "oh i didnt know that was for this track" i mean come on guys.

cyclist are some of the cleverist and f@#king stupid people i"ve ever met.

catch a wake and and think about where you are going on your bikes.

Not suprising for Nortehrn Farm! This happens every weekend. Suggest that everyone signs an indemnity, have a number board/ plate issued so that they can be identified, warned and any further transgression may lead to the individual being banned. It may cost us a little more to ride there but we can do so safely. Just my 2c.

I once hit Teak in such a hurry I forgot to check which colour routes we were doing that day. Wondered why I had oncoming traffic and dirty looks, until some chic said we're doing black/blue not red/yellow. Whoops. Sorry, MORON ALERT!

haha did the same thing! except I started giving the people riding in the "wrong" way a few words, then only when I had finished and was looking at the board did I see my mistake

Umm a lot of people have been riding those single tracks from both directions LONG before those signs were put up. The signs are unfortunate in my opinion as they spoil riding the single track from both sides.

Perhaps you should not worry about the hospital so much, speeds along those single tracks are usually 16-18km/h due to the tight turns, roots, etc. You should have ample time to see an approaching rider and if you are worried about collision move left just off the single track, smile and greet as you pass eachother. You are on a mountain bike, so it wont mind roughing it on the verge.

Jeez, its not a bike park, just a farm. Try calm down and enjoy your riding.

and it doesn't belong to you. kthere are rules for riding htere and we (mountainbikers) are proveledgede to be allowed to ride there - they can withdraw this permission at any time and it will be because of people like YOU who break the rules and ignore the signs.

However, however, put me (100 k's +)and my fairly solid piece of GF 29er on one of those small powerclimbs on the single track near the river, and get a smallish person on a carbon full susser coming the wrong way down that piece of track and I am going to hurt them. True story.

The one ways are good and right and marked. If you can't abide by the rules then stay the F away!

There is even one group that F*** MOVE the signs to suit the direction that their holiness' desire! Sh!t, that is like moving a robot cos you're a roadie and you don't feel like stopping.
