99er Training Ride

Come join me for a Long Slow Distance ride on Saturday.

Following the 99er route.

 

70kms.

Wheels rolling this Saturday 6 AM from D Ville High School.

Avg 25.0 km/h.

 

Those who pursue intensive hill ascent on the day, please wait for everybody to regroup and continue to work together.

I know I am sounding like a old granny now.....

But anyone keen to shorten the route a bit?

 

I am always pushed for time and I would prefer to not be out for half the day.

 

Instead of turning right off wellington road and across the bridge up and down to the 4 way stop.

It may be nice to carry on straight with the road, hang a left before the silos and carry on with the route.

I imagine that will cut 35-40km out the route.

 

I would ride there from table view as well, so I will be getting lost the distance back. But at least I will be back home 1.5-2 hours ealier.

 

Let me know if anyone is keen to do the "chicken" run.

We will have to ride alot faster to be home early!

 

Then I may not get home at all if we ride that fast ....

 

But I would like to join....... If we can be off by 6 the latest, why not even earlier?

Then if I see that we are pushing it for time coming back I will either go home via melkbos or along contermans kloof.

Ya, I may be skipping the "good stuff" but lets see what happens time wise etc.

I want to lodge an formal objection against the rides being organised, and propose a moratorium be placed on ALL the Durbanville area rides until such time I return in the first week of January 2011.
