GF29er Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 98 again.... did plenty of Km's this week, but ate even more. was reading the Epic guide which came with one of the cycling mags this morning, quite depressing to see that the pro' MTBers are under 75kg with my height, some less than 70kg.
chris_w_65 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 now why didn't I think of thattell you what - you got some great results and won the challenge - how about publishing your meal planner  NO BEER was my secret  You have to starve yourself, you have to eat 7000 Calories a week less than you need to lose 1kg/week. Here is what I ate yeaterday and I burned an extra 1800 Calories for my 98km ride
minjin Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 (edited) Normal non training day  Thanks ChrisI will give this a bash as well. I have come down from 106 at the beginning of December to 95 now (and with very little beer) but need to get back to a racing weight again of about 82. I am struggling with this plateau, i think the body has become used to the same kind of foods and has got more efficient at using what i feed it. A change will be good, both from a boredom point of view and may also kick the bodies ass, so thanks for meal plan - am gonna buy the ingredients tonight  by the way - what is a serving size? Gravity Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 well done Chris, you have some serious focus.

chris_w_65 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I started on 40 Provitas with fat free cottage cheese a day, that got boring so I looked for other low calorie stuff to eat instead - also important is it must not include cooking and have minimum cleaning up after

Also a plus is if you get stopped in a road block.
minjin Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Lets see what the scale says next Monday. I am going hiking in the berg on the weekend so should burn quite a few extra cals as well.
Cois Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 82.0 KG. Must be the carbo load of Friday Night, the Boere Roll on Saterday and the b-day dinner, and then the ox tail potjie yesterday! Hope that I can shed some weight this week...
chris_w_65 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 If you guys are serious then you should try www.fatsecret.com - if you record everything you eat and put effort into it you will lose weight. 0.5kg per week is very easy to do without even exercising. 1kg a week is tough but I have managed it for 28 weeks running and 6 weeks of that I couldn't even exercise because of injury. Plus I gave up smoking 30 a day 28 weeks ago so in theory I should have put on and not lost. The weeks I have exercised I probably did 2 sessions a week. Come on guys, you can do it
