Whiskers_81 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Walking is good, I walked 89km once - average HR = 165bpm your car must have broken down between colesberg and bloemfontein
stratus5 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 There's a trend, but its bloody hard work.  Frustrating when a hard weeks work does not translate into any measurable weight loss. Jumped .8kg this week after doing over 300km. I know I drink 3 liters or more on race day. Saturday I had 1.5 liters on the bike. Drank at least 3 cups of coke/energade after finishing, plus a recovery drink (750ml USN) and then a guilty red bull. More water at home etc.

Whiskers_81 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Walked from Maritzburg to Durban  I would also rather "walk" the comrades!! running is too much
Cois Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Walking is good, I walked 89km once - average HR = 165bpmWell lets see... Today. Walked about 7KM, did a few stairs (14 floors up and down and then another 5 floors up and down) Will do a bit of Abs as well tonight (about 200 abdominal moves) might even try a bit of jogging, and intake was a cup of plain yoghurt and pecan nuts.
DaLoCo Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I think it has got a lot to do with the amount of self control that you have!! I have been trimming the fat off of my meat lately and reducing those tyoe of things, yet the other night I could barely keep myself in and I ate 2 strips of cripsy pork fat!! I knew I shouldn't but damn it was good In my mind I need to not be punishing myself, so I also indulge once a week or so. 99% of the time I am disciplined and trim my food, eat one helping only, etc. I hate it when it feels like a hunger strike, and then I lose heart.

I do not like starving myself!!But I do eat more healthier types of food.  I can't remember the last time I ate KFC or Mcdonalds!
