Hi all,

our company is currently retrenching staff. one of the staff to be retrenched is a our payrolll administrator.

 

if anyone is looking for a payroll administrator with experience in SAP Payroll and VIP Payroll and she has over 15years experience in this field.

I'm in cape town, looking for an internship as web developer. i am currently finishing my first year studies at CTi Education Group. I am familiar with Java, Flash, ms sql, Linux. I have a contract position (Pretoria) available for a suitable candidate.

The position: Secretary/Administrator in a Law Firm. Their lady is going on maternity leave.

 

Must have experience in the following:

 

Reconciliation of Interest deposits monthly

• Receive proof of interest

• Handle the recons and capture on records

• Type letter to request a split

• Give list to Finance at the end of the month for the split to do the journals

 

Handle the journal

• Receive split on interest cheque or deposits

• Capture split on records as well on the list for journals

• Give the list to Finance department to enter in the ACCPAC

Audits

• Process interest figures and bank charges figures on records

• If interest is outstanding the letter must be written to the Attorney (letter of demand

• Supplementary information – incorrect letter to accountant

• Make regular follow ups for outstanding interest

• Refer to practice Support unit and Disciplinary Department after the second letter of demand

• Telephone/faxes/emails

• Type the confirmation letters

ABSA reconciliation

• Receive statements monthly for +- 80 clients

• Receive cheque and statements, give to Cashier for receipt

• Do reconciliation on every firms statement (split)

• Capture on excel spread sheet balance

• Capture on records

ABSA clients refunds schedules of payments

• Print all transactions from records on firms

• Do schedule for payments received from ABSA /NED

• If totals differs, look on recons – cashfocus payments on recons do split

Prepare reports for the HOD

• Appraisal of working progress in my unit

• Management report on monthly basis.

• Report all problems to the HOD and ordering of stationery

Assisting

• Receiving Audits

• Refunds

• Interest Splits:

Requirements:

• One to two years Admin experience in commercial/accounting environment

• Senior Certificate

• Computer Literacy

• Must have worked with banks previously and an accounting certificate will be an added advantage.

I think I need to become a PA if that is what they get payed just to do that. And yes I have all the skillz except Italian.

 

Sitting on the bosses lap just doesnt have the same meaning then matey :P. And yeah its amazing what some unksilled PA's get paid vs people who actually went to Tech or Varisty and got actual degree's.

 

But then again thats probably just the way the game is played.

The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), located in

Muizenberg, Cape Town, is an innovative pan-African centre of learning

for postgraduate teaching and research in the mathematical sciences.

 

We are looking for an Linux IT Support Technician or System administrator,

with 2+ years experience. We have 130 ubuntu destkops, 10 ubuntu servers,

and 50 or so visiting laptops of various operating systems.

 

Duties:

 

These positions will report to the IT Manager and will: provide Linux

desktop support; limited Windows/Mac support; document network, processes,

and services; maintain network, hardware, desktops; manage user accounts;

monitor and troubleshoot services; perform backups; and all related IT tasks.

 

Requirements:

 

A tertiary qualification and/or a relevant IT qualification

and/or work experience; Solid experience with Ubuntu or Debian; experience

in Linux desktop support; familiarity with Linux mail, web, file, and

authentication services; understanding of firewalls, routing, and proxies;

bash and/or Python scripting; customer-service orientation; self-motivated

and self-disciplined; ability to work in a team; good written and spoken

communication skills; experience with hardware support and procurement;

understanding of network protocols; enthusiasm to work in a culturally

diverse organisation.

 

Additional recommendations:

 

Any of: experience with Google Apps; experience with Open Source web and

database technologies (e.g. django); Asterisk/VOIP; experience with scientific

software (e.g. SciPy, SAGE, LaTeX.); bandwidth management; high availability

clustering, virtualization, replication technologies; programming languages

(e.g. C, Fortran, Java.); understanding of French or Arabic

My wife was recently re-trenched and is looking for a position in Event Co-ordinating & marketing, she also has experience as a PA , Office Admin & Bookkeeping.

 

The position would need to be based in Durban or surrounding highway area.

Reporting to the Divisional Manager Medical and responsible for supervising the activities pertaining to the running and management of the ambulance dispatch and frontline services.

 

• Ensure that the service is covered adequately, so as to maintain required service levels at all times

Good day.

 

My company is currently looking for an IT developer with SQL experience. We need to achieve the following goals:

 

1. Develop a program to interrogate a SQL database. This program is to be used for fleet management reporting as well as live tracking.

 

2. To tweak our network (One server with about 37 machines)

 

3. To re-design our web page and to add new features.

 

This position is unfortunately not permanent but will be on a target basis. If you are interested or know of someone who might be please pm me.

So im back in SA, my contract for working at the World Cup as a Venue Manager has ended so need more work...

Those that know me will agree when I say I can do anything that you teach me if I don't know how to do it already.

 

I am a Jack of all trades and but a master of none...

 

So if anybody knows of anything in event management or anything managerial related please let me know asap...
