When I grew up, often heard of Pedro Delgado as well.

If your girlfriend is bored, go take out 7 in a Row, and tell her one day when you big you'll be like him.

Rick Hoyt, not so much cycling as Triathlon, he's never won a race, was somewhat of a couch potato untill late but what he's achieved is beyond belief and inspires me.

ok, I'll help then.

without them the whole cycling industry would not have existed, nor could any of the names mentioned have excelled at their chosen sport.

so, thanks to the names mentioned (and most probably a few not mentioned), without them the world would have been a different (not better) place

Lance, Contador, Jens, Spartacus!

No mention of Mr Ulrich yet?

i always had a soft spot for Jan. i really enjoyed the respect lance and he showed towards each other, must be one of the great sporting rivalry's. i dont remember which year it was, but that final mountain top finish where lance gave jan the finish for second place in front of him to ensure that jan got a time bonus that would secure his second place overall. Jan put out his hand to thank lance.
