Just sitting in front of the computer board and was browsing news24 and found this

so thought i'd stir this kettle of fish again :P

and here is a little abstract or two i found funny lol

"Of course, when you have paid R500, the equivalent of $70 for a piece of plastic, then you're more invested in the band than you probably want to realise.

The pricing is in fact an important part of the overall marketing strategy - you don't promise such amazing benefits and then charge only $10 for them. The more people pay, the more "effective" the band will be, and the more vociferously they will defend it, regardless of whether your advertising promise is true or not."

"Science will tell you that you could just as well put a pink ribbon in your hair before you train and achieve the same result, provided you spend enough money on it to believe that it works. Of course, if I designed an impressive website and wore a white lab-coat and staked my scientific reputation on its effectiveness, then it would help even more."

Ah crap, so if you get it as a gift it will not work. What about those that get payed to endorse it. They get it for free and even gets payed wear it. Does it then have a negative affect on them?

I'm only visiting this planet. I cam here 38 years ago looking for intelligent life. I have not been successful yet.

I don't get what all the hoo haa is for. I mean plenty of people claim religion works without scientific proof, and no-one tries to get their money back from the church when uncle tim gets the clap, mom loses her job, and dad gets punched out at the bar. I mean, it's the same stupid scam.

Splinters of the true cross, $75 dollars. Better than a Power Balance, cos it's $5 more. We guarantee to give you wood! No, really... proper wood. Spiritual Viagra!

You got ripped. You could get them at the intersection of Atlas and North Rand for R20. For R70, they'd do you a deal on a power band, clothes hanger, bin bags and car charger package.
