Wyatt Earp Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 If I may, my take on this.It will be African Champs.The race should be 120 k's or thereabouts.We will also need enough riders to make it worth it as we would have to introduce age categories, this would be absolutely essential.I don't think there are enough riders out there yet to make all this viable.

You're frigging insane. I doubt there's enough riders for a race that has categories (except fat b@st@ard for me), so why not a lapped race, maybe an hour plus 1 lap or something to that effect.

Riding in Africa Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Ok, I have heard via the radio telescope that their will be a INTERGALACTIC SS Championships race for the plant earth on the 2nd April at Rietvlei Farm. Shebeen Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 okee dokee, it's on like donkey kong....this came through the wires today and we have had some positive feedback. How does it work I hear you ask? Well, it’s pretty simple really, you rock and ride a lap course on a single speed bike (i.e. a bike with only 1 gear, you get to pick the gear though), each lap there will be a beer stop, this stop is not compulsory but if you don’t do the beer stop then you have to do the forfeit, the forfeit involves running (without your bike). All you have to do for the beer stop is down a beer and you’re off again, no worries. Dressing up is not compulsory but arriving in your lycra is a serious no-no, and to quote the boys of NZ, a note from your mother is not a valid excuse for racing in your team issue lycra! Awesome old school lycra is however encouraged. We’ll be the first race of the day and so it’ll be pretty early, we still have to confirm our start time. And it’ll only be 2 laps so no worries on that count, we won’t make you ride too hard. More communication to follow shortly! Later
