I, with my wife and son have been asked to join a Corporate Bond entry which we have. However, we had already entered and paid for our other entry. I asked the Argus if I could transfer the private entries to someone else and they stated that I could not and that I would lose the money. Also would not transfer the fees to the corporate bond fee either.

I have seen a few  people asking for and advertising Argus entries but it would seem, according to Argus, that this is not an option. Any ideas?

I thought so to but they said that unfortunately I can't. I will maybe try and speak to a different person. It would be a pity as it is 3 entries!

If you still hope to secure an entry into the Cape Argus Pick ?n Pay Cycle Tour, you have one final chance:  take the place of a withdrawing rider by means of a substitution entry and follow these steps:

Download the substitution form from www.cycletour.co.za.

The completed form, accompanied by an authorisation letter from the person withdrawing, must be e-mailed to substitutions@cycletour.co.za or faxed to
021 685 6648.   Note:  Forms submitted without this authorisation letter will not be accepted.

Collect and pay for your substitution (cash only) at the Substitutions Collections Counter at the Lifecycle Expo between Wednesday, 7 March and Saturday, 10 March. The cost of a substitution entry is R250, irrespective of PPA membership, and substitutes will receive a new number in their qualifying start group.

This is the only way a participant can still enter the Cycle Tour, says David Bellairs of the Cycle Tour organizing team.  ?Riders must remember that they cannot apply for substitution at the Lifecycle Expo, and those entrants who choose to withdraw will not be refunded their entry fee.?

Use your own race number

For safety reasons, entrants may not allow anyone else to use the number allocated to them.  In the event of a medical emergency, a rider?s race number is often used to locate the rider?s next of kin.

?There is, however, still a small number of participants who ride with other riders? race numbers,? says Bellairs.  ?This year, any rider caught racing with another person?s number will face disqualification, while the rider and original entrant will be barred from future events for two years.?

Riders have until 23 February to apply for a substitution entry.

Ok, thx. But I still lose my entry fee. I never double checked the web site as I was told that I couldn't when I enquired about the corporate bond entry for our company. So again a case of:
