Hah! Isn't keeping stock and being able to resolve warranty issues quickly and efficiently the soppy crap we always hear from agents/importers/distributors when they tell us why we're supposed to support them and not CRC/CWC? So much for that.

HI All

 

I will be getting my new frame/bike tomorrow. BIG THANKS to Andrew Mclean and Fourways cycle Lab. Andrew Mclean managed to get everything sorted in 2 days. He kept me updated and the everything seems to be resolved now. What he did in 2 days, other could not do in 2 weeks.

Dammit stop pussyfooting around....... if you can afford a bike like that phone the factory in the United States and demand to speak to somebody high up. Also phone Just Fun and demand to speak to Ricky himself.

That wouldn't have helped one little bit.

 

I'm still waiting for a warranty claim, it's been almost a year. Still nothing, nada. I eventually contacted Trek Customer Service in the States and their reply was that they would contact the relevant agents in South Africa. When i told the guy that i've been waiting for months with no joy from the local agents, and that was the reason i ended up contacting them, i didn't get another reply.

 

After 4 months i got a replacement frame but they sent the wrong size. Almost a year later and i'm still waiting.

 

Ended up buying myself another frame just to ride a mtb again.

Worked for a year and a half with Just Fun as a supplier, and was a nightmare! Thats what you get when someone is the agent and knows nothing about the sport. they give their brands abad name in South Africa. To get the quickest help, contact Trek themselves. if you need their numbers, Ive got directlines for you to the right people there. Bypass Just Fun, otherwise you'll sit in 6 months still with nothing.

 

if you dont come right I can help you with the Trek guys.

Well seeing as you ride a GT/sponsored by Omnico, maybe you can help me.

I'm on my 2nd Zaskar frame and waiting for the third since October 2010, when a warranty replacement had been OKéd by the Omnico rep.

My LBS is getting nowhere with Omnico and I'm really getting pissed off, the frame is cracked in 2 places and I've had to do Isuzu 3 Towers etc with it. Dodgy !

So how bout a little good PR here and helping me get a new frame, as aparently there's no stock but FFS it has been 4 months allready !!!

no one should go through bollie like this.i hope your new frame is all that you wished for.If I was you I would fix the bike sell it ,even at a loss and get a bike that has better backup locally.

How did he do that!!?? i need assistance to!! Do you think the bike shop you had the bike at first did not do what they were supposed to? Or is it just becouse it was Andrew Mclean?? please send me his details so that he can assist me in a similar situation! Thanks :rolleyes:
