My intuition and a bit of digging tells me it is a scam. I did a whois on the domain and found it registered to "DIRECTI INTERNET SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. D/B/A". A search on that name revealed a few other domains that have been linked to known scams..

Mmmm, further digging is required. Directi has a couple of millions of domains in its registry, so that doesn't mean they are all scammers. The fact that the owner has privacy set on his domain tells me has something to hide though. Normally a valid business wouldn't try and hide their contact details.

If you look on their shipping and returns page you can see that the website has been built from a template. Some of the template instructions are still on the page.

I would not touch this. It looks dodgy. the prices are unrealistic.

Has anybody ever purchased any items from Ahmad bicycle? http://www.ahmadbicycle.com/

Pricing seems to good to be true! Can this guy be trusted?

Hmmm

Very interesting. A well put together site. That didn't cost peanuts!

My gut feel is it is good - Googling now.

A lot of Bicycle components, for some top brands, come out of Indonesia and Malaysia.

About two years ago I looked at bringing in Santa Cruz and Mongoose on offer for ridiculous prices.

I did a lot of contacting and questioning before hand.

None of the supplied phone numbers would contact, but I managed to get serial numbers for the Santa Cruz bikes, via email communication.

I mailed Santa Cruz direct with all the details. By the next morning the contact and site posting were gone!

If you can phone, and speak direct, and get 'contact fo happi customa' then it might be good.

Just watch out for import duties!

Cheers, off to shop.

Thanks Cosmos.

I would only know what a template looked like if it smacked me in the face, and left an imprint.

Bloody good grammar for an eastern site though. Your money might even end up in a dorm in Oxford!

Googling continues!

Scam: their email is a gmail

no shipping or payment info

So am I a scammer too? I have a gmail account, so does edge_design - he has some great stuff but should I suspect that he is a scammer too?

no shipping and payment info should ring alarm bells.

Fair enough for independent traders to have gmail but for someone who claims to be .. "one of the largest Internet sellers of Bike" (sic) ....

well like they say, if it seems too good to be true then it probably is, personally i wouldn't take the chance even though the prices are really tempting

ok and looking at the website, when you select to add the bike to your basket there is no size selection? to me that screams SCAM  , louder then anything else as well as that the address is in Indonesia for which there are many different scam sites lol
