I heard a rumor and saw on Twitter over the weekend that two ladies was mugged and knife point on Klapperkop. Can anyone verify this? I heard it was just after the cattle grid close to the R21. Two gentleman jumped out from behind the brush and relieved them from some items.
Landy Lion Advendurance will pick upi that you do not have a number board. They will issue you with one at the cost of R40. If they do not pick it up just let them know you need a timing number board and they will give you one.
Just to put some perspective on this. USN is the title sponsor. They do not organise the event. Same as the Nissan events. Nissan is title sponsor and Advendurance the event organisers. We are always quick to blame the organisers when things go wrong yet there are riders out there that will ride over banting to take a shortcut. When you confront them they get aggressive. It only takes on person to do that and all the other sheeple will just follow. This leaving distances in shambles. Race organisers sometimes have limited space to work with safely and routs pass each other closely. I saw some riders crossing the veld from their route to the guys on the way back to the barn allready. Once again when this happens others just follow blindly. Yes the organisers can make mistakes on route marking and distances. Yes the route markings can get stolen. But its not always the organisers fault when things go wrong. We as riders must also adhere to markings and not cross banting where it is placed to direct us in a direction. What will happen when ALL events move over to zero route markings? How will these individuals then follow a route? If you cannot follow and adhere to markings on the route how will you follow a GPS? The great thing about zero marking routes will be the download of your GPS if you complain about distances!! So yes there is always something to complain about but direct your critism to the organisers directly and not slant the sponsors so that the organisers can also learn from it and make sure future events wont have the same issues. my Monday morning 2c!
Jason one would assume that the police did take the ladies statement at the accidenct scene. Maybe they did and she was under the ompression that there is no need to go to SAPS again. Glad its sorted though!! See hallo vir Koos Langgat!!

Start times similar to the National and Provincial XC, although a bit later. Guys you can make start time slightly earlier. In line with the NationalmXCO start times. Other than that all looks quite good. Is the course marked yet?
