It is not a simple as that . A few times at 6am I have ran into one of these animals coming around the corner . It is not easy to make a fast u-turn on th single track and normally I just stop and wait for something to happen . Getting that close the the camelhorse happens often , you don't need to be "looking" for it .

Very interesting reading . After running toobless on various non-tubeless rims and tyres without to much problems , I thought maybe its because on the smaller 26" it would work better . But been running tubeless Kenda's on cheap 29" non-tubeless rims for over a year now and although I had a few puntcures already I am yet to remove a tyre from the rims . Am I riding to slow or should I get off Klapperkop and hit the tar to get proper punctures ? All my tubeless conversion , does not matter tyre/rim combination has been normal insulation tape and a old tube valve . The Stans or Joe rim strips are rubbish .

If you plan on getting a new GS after every dirty ride get XTR . The more expensive the GS gets the lighter and less durable they are . So Deore will last you a very ,very long time while XTR will not . Simple .

We ate a lot of dust from vehicles but they all pulle dover when we came flying down the hill and I forgave them for the dust they kicked up . But the lack of food at some water points for the back markers was a bit of a dissapointment and should really be looked at . One think that I did find very disturbing was the people that manned the tables all told us what a sour and unfriendly bunch the first lot of riders where . The lovely old auntie that dished up the soup said they did not even thank her for the soup not asked the recipe !!! Not cool .

Next year we will pack more goodies in our boxes and spend more time at the CP's . Thats where the race vibe is and where we meet people .
