  1. You are right , they are not a national body and does not really do anything for us poor gautengers but neither does CSA . So why and go and try and break something that work for the people in slaapstad ? We all the know the answer to that , MONEY !!!!! It is very sad that you think that safe cycling should be the resposibility of the munisipalities of this country !!
  2. Well CSA been making a mess of most everything they tried so why don't we then rather make PPA the cycling body and CSA can become the club ?
  3. They do ? Strange that every other race I have done that not sanctioned by them I got the same service . What wil ultimately promote the "sport" is if we got places to cycle safely , got cycle lanes , items that is not on the CSA list at all . They really don't care at all about the recreational (funrider) cyclist . And besides all the services CSA gives us they also the reason why entry fees are so high . Go and look what they take at the events they sanction . So it is not just about the R75.00 . But wait I hear people say but they promote the sport by looking after our pro riders . A while back a list made the rounds here from a cyclist trying to get money to participate in a international event . CSA could not sponsor him because he was from a disadvantaged group . BS !!
  4. Seriaaas !! I hope CSA looses whatever they try . They mean nothing to me and has never done anything for me on the other hand when I stayed in Slaapstad PPA did lots for us . As far as I am concerned CSA and UCI can take their rules and stick up there .
  5. As a fun rider a reasonable reward would be to do a race on roads and places that I normally cannot do it . And a bit of water along the way also helps .
  6. And improve WHAT ?? When CSA gets involved with anything it turns into a clown fest
  7. DO whatever you want but don't do the Magalies monster on your SS with a Rigid !
  8. Not me !!! I want cycle lanes , bike parks ............
  9. PPA got my vote . Like somebody already mentioned , just look what they are doing for the cyclists in that area !! CSA is only concerned about the pro riders and does F-all for the other 99% of cyclists in the country .
  10. Or your knees maybe ?
  11. Start at a point . By taking everything appart and oiling and greasing every little bit you will most probably make the noise go away but will never know what caused it .
  12. Sorry it is in JHB and they only have a sale twice a year .
  13. These socks will go way over your knees !!!!!
  14. We got a sports warehouse across the road and I buy rugby socks there for R10 a pair . Awesome for winter months on the bike .
  15. RIP
  16. Never done it before . What ratio for you on SS ? Will 34/16 be fine ?
  17. In that case you should go for household income I think .
  18. They do still make a single pivot bike . I suppose I will have to look after my single pivot bikes , looks like they won't be around for much longer .
  19. All those pivots
  20. And if you not close to Mike I am in the Centurion area and might also be able to help with lots of air .
  21. I would stay away from da bomb if possible . Don't know if it's true but they say it does funy things with the sealant .
  22. Yes but it is not for sale !
  23. Mine is fine with 3 links
  24. Yes . It works better when removed , but use proper insulation tape , the stuff that got a bit of stretch in them .
