  1. My point exactly. http://www.shopgiant-bicycles.co.uk/ <--- You are allowed to sell old model bikes
  2. Let me quickly explain something. CWC import bits via non-standard channels, those channels are knowingly breaching contracts with their suppliers. The law is pretty simple: breach of contract is illegal. CWC is fully aware that some if their channels are in breach and are buying and selling stuff on. An example is the Shimano OEM parts they sell. Shimano is VERY clear about OEM parts, they are not for resale. It often says so IN BIG BOLD LETTERS on the packaging CWC throw away. Heres another example: http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/giant-anthem-x-2-29er CWC are fully aware that Giant worldwide does not allow their bikes to be sold online, nor do the local distributor, yet they continue to sell them online. Those, my fellow hubbers, are two examples of CWC knowingly breaking the law. Admin, now would be a good time to ban CWC from this forum. They are advertising and selling illegal stuff on this forum. Now theres one further, far more worrying problem, you hubbers ever notice how you get CWC emails, ever wonder how they got your email address?
  3. Anyone notice that monstrosity under the stem? Until STI's push fluid its a no-no for me.
  4. May I ask how much you weigh?
  5. I think it has potential, 29ers aren't great suspension bikes unless they're super light XC machines, but bigger wheels do have some advantages. I think having a prototype ready incase they become a fad is a good thing for any bike company.
  6. Now that you guys have managed to take this thing waaay off-topic, what do you people think of the 650b 120mm thing?
  7. Its not a ZA thing, every single bike company I know of has had issues with delivery over the last year. Clothes, components, frames, brakes, Europe, US, China, ZA: Its a VERY common problem in this industry. Its often worst for the small guys, of which Morewood is one. Chubba: no 29ers are not all they're made out to be.
  8. Its a hard tail 29er so I take a LOT of stick from my mates, it climbs well, but as with all 29ers its a bit dodgy on singletrack, With a dropper post Its quite good fun as I don't feel like I'm steering a bus round a corner. With the W2W this weekend I'm going to miss my Zula.
  9. Got those 150 and 170 mm frames in the office here, they're pretty sweet, lots more cnc'ing going on than anything they've made before which is probably what theres such a delay, tooling up to produce these frames en masse can't be easy. But what it does mean is that future split pivot bikes should come out far quicker.
  10. I just spoke to someone on the know about what is in the pipeline, they have a couple of nice spit pivot designs on the go, the one I found VERY interesting is apparently they have a 120mm 650b design that they're about to prototype. Sounds like the kind of fun bike Morewood is renowned for.
  11. Why from CWC when Olympic is cheaper?
  12. This is what happens when you ask an agency for a discount, they give the work to their intern.
  13. Mine is in the classifieds section. It could be yours.
  14. A 29er rim is 700c, aka a Road Wheel/Cyclocross wheel. Pretty much anything will fit, theres a million and one cheap touring tires you can put on there.
  15. I just posted my frame in the classifieds section. Out of interest, how many of the bikes you guys are talking about have won a mega?

  17. I have a Trek remedy 9.9 2010 for sale, M/L. Frame and headset with a 1/18 adapter for the tapered headset if your fork is not tapered. I have no idea what i'm selling it for but last time I offered it to someone it was crazy cheap, bugger bought a nomad.
  18. I have a 150mm travel Carbon all mountain bike for sale, cheap cheap.
  19. Azonic is spot on, also remember it gets grippier when its wet.
  20. With an external BB you can replace the bearings with enduros when they go, and it costs about R200. Replacing them is a 5 minute job.
  21. Just remember you're also riding your front chainrings stukkend.
  22. HI Does anyone know of a company that can repair or bond carbon in Cape Town
  23. Bump, still looking for someone, i'll give you time off to ride.
  24. heat it up with boiling water before you bend it, that shimano stuff has a tendency to snap.
  25. Hi If any young, keen hubbers are looking for part-time work in Cape Town, know their way around a bike, can spell and know their way around a computer please send a CV to job@toms-surfboards.com Thanks
