  1. You may have an issue with my logic, but I have a problem with your syntax. I have no idea what you're saying - what does 'So what your saying is that if not caught, continue to do so...' even mean? What I am saying is this: 'Being busted once does point to a certain moral flexibility. And, because it is so easy to evade being caught, it also points to a certain carelessness, too.' I do believe that is pretty clear; QED, son.

  3. Gee Nolan is better off the juice than he was on the juice!
  4. Work/life balance is very good - I work for a lot of Kiwis, fishing comes first, then family, then work. But when it's time to work, it is time to work. On job security, people here don't think of jobs the same as they do in SA. Plenty folk will quit a job before finding another, just to take a few months off, or because the job isn't right for them, or whatever - confident that they will find another. That's on the one hand, on the other, employers can't 'hire and fire' - but that isn't really anything any competent person has to worry about.
  5. Ha ha, forgot on a Safa site you can't say doggy do os!
  6. She enjoys cleaning the house and doggy ****? ;-)
  7. BTW congrats to you guys who have secured a place here. NZ is paradise and with the summer we've been having this year, it has never looked better - long, hot, blue days, just spectacular.
  8. Seriously, rehome your animals. Having pets here limits where you can get a house and you will very quickly learn that spending your time cleaning up after Fluffie isn't all that much fun. Also, you'll want to explore the country...very difficult to do when you need to put Fluffy up in a kennel because you don't have any mates or family who will look after the pets for you. You will need dog licenses, too, at around $150 per year, and there's vet bills to consider. How do I know? I brought our two dogs over. Cost about $10 000 all in. One has since died (made my cry like a little girl - still miss her a lot) the other is now middle aged. While I love the dogs, they would have been just as happy had they gone to live with Ouma and Oupa in Vanderbijlpark.
  9. Bell is absolutely essential equipment if you are riding two-way/mixed use trails.
  10. My bottles get water in them only. Stay cleaner for longer.
  11. Probably time to replace my helmuts, interested to read the comments here (and poor Wannabe's fail). My Giro Atmos looks like new still, so does my Uvex whatever model it is. But they are around 8 years old. Wouldn't put them in a dishwasher, do the shower thing occasionally but more often wash with cold water and hand soap...
  12. Duct tape.
  13. Good thinking. Check out the boat share options; it is not for me, but it works very well for DawieO, he absolutely loves his deal...walk on, walk off, no maintenance or cleaning, dry stack at Orams Marine downtown Auckland...
  14. Public service here tends to overestimate turnaround times so they can beat the expectations of customers. So if something can be expected to take a week, it usually happens in 2 or 3 days - that way, you're happy and their SLA is well met.
  15. I've never been tested despite having raced for years. In the last Epic I did, I think we were the first or second non-pro team home (around 30th place). The first Cape Pioneer when there wasn't much of a field me and Ro Exelby came second and won two or 3 stages - no tests...
  16. Right on the money. Like ole Fandacious I find the stupid excuses insulting.
  17. Why TF is everyone taking so much drugs the whole time? I did two epics and a lot of other races and never took so much as a panado. Don't do supplements, either.
  18. All those times I got chicked, I always did wonder how they did it.
  19. BTW 'mano y mano' means 'hand to hand'.
  20. Nice doggies. Oh, and some drugs cheat.
  21. Now that's a good idea, she said, she said, she said, now that's a good idea, she said, she said, she said... Remember that old song, by Sugar.
