  1. Some pics I took today are at http://chris.theworld.co.za
  2. I saw a group of approx 30 riders heading out from Edgemead on Saturday morning at 7:00am. Does anyone know who these guys are, where they start from and if 'outies' can join them. I would love to train with these guys as I notice they all stopped at the red traffic light.
  3. It is, but that goose is likely to moer you for calling her a chick.

  5. Mrs Colonel, you don't need to spend all that money. Just upgrade with this, Colonel you can thank me later.
  6. The problem, is that in 20 years time the only difference between her and an elephant is going to be 60 kg and a black dress.
  7. 18 days to come up with that? I think your lefty rebound needs turning up a bit.
  8. I didn't think GM were going to import this, but I saw it at Reeds N1 City on Friday and they are punting it directly at cyclists. It's pretty cool and the quality is superb. Apparently it retails for about R10k which is pricey, but then you don't need a tow bar and you always have a bike rack with you which is really handy for when you visit the LBS and 'need' to impulse buy that new bike. The lights pack away neatly in the slide out tray. The wheels rest on the rack like with a Thule, and the bike cranks slot into the uprights you can see sticking up.
  9. Mak-daddy why don't you ask PPA for their financial statements. They don't keep them a secret, in fact they are available for scrutiny by anyone who wants to have a look. If you go to the PPA AGM you will even get given a copy.
  10. Notepad.exe.....from the people who brought you Edlin. And I though that I was the only person who had ever used Edlin.

  12. I'm beginning to think that calling this thread the "Idiots Guide to Licensing" was maybe pitching it too high. ChrisH2007-11-16 02:03:00
  13. Now that makes sense. Thanks
  14. So what's the difference between the Cyclosport and the Recreational ones? Do you just get a card with the cyclosport license? Also PPA show my licence (that I bought included in my Argus entry) as expiring end of April. I hope they now extend it to the end of the year. Edited so as not to look like a total spastic for calling cyclosport, cyclocross.ChrisH2007-11-15 13:03:12
  15. If I take my own woman do you think I will have to pay corkage?
  16. I would like to take this opportunity to point out that TitusTi agrees with me. That is all.
  17. Don't buy resin pads, they self destruct in rainy conditions. Sintered metal are the ones to go for.
  18. Captain Dura, just race with my number and put it down to a training ride. At least then you can do the event. And that way I can get my seeding for 'The Argus' bumped up with no extra effort on my behalf. I do believe it's a Win Win situation.

    Mudguards ??

The Topeak mounting bracket lasted one ride and broke when I removed it. Very poor quality.
  21. One of the guys at the Cederberg 180 rode 30km's without a saddle on day 1, but I've never heard of anyone being on the supply side of bicycle deviancy before.
