    Mudguards ??

The Topeak mounting bracket lasted one ride and broke when I removed it. Very poor quality.
  3. One of the guys at the Cederberg 180 rode 30km's without a saddle on day 1, but I've never heard of anyone being on the supply side of bicycle deviancy before.
  4. A man has been placed on the sex offenders? register after being caught trying to have sex with a bicycle. "It was the 2008 XTR kit she was wearing your honour. She was practically begging for it." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/10/26/nsex126.xml ChrisH2007-10-30 07:47:47
  5. A couple of weeks back I was riding into Durbanville from Wellington and about 15 riders in Daikin kit came up behind me. They stopped at every red light through the town center, chatted with me and joked with the motorists. I thought that was damn impressive and an excellent example for others to follow. The sad thing is that for other less professional cyclists this behaviour is out of the ordinary.
  6. Here's a picture of the mudguard in question. Looking at the picture she actually does need the shoes. (It was nice knowing you all. After posting this I may be a dead man the next time she catches me on the single track)
  7. But I wont win a pair of shoes from Bicycling magazine for suggesting them will I ?.
  8. Iron Horse or even Santa Cruz. That's where my money is. The Oracle has spoken.
  9. Imagine also, how the water is going to get into the BB.

If they dance everytime you cross the start/finish line you can call them..........Lap dancers. That's my coat over there. Yes, the one with the tar and feathers on it.
  11. Us 55km riders also got to ride through the farmyard at the cow farm. Here's a hot tip. Always close your mouth when riding through a puddle. I think I drank half a litre of cow poo. It was a stunning race though, and by all accounts this should have been the featured PPA event for the weekend and not the Potberg race that made the pansie cry. Riding the last few hundred meters on the beach with massive whales jolling in the surf line 100 meters away was unforgettable.
  12. Spoke to My Physio this arvie who said she rode Chappies this morning. Apparently they have blocked it off with trees and all sorts of obstacles but you can just lift your bike over and ride.
  13. I have seen them at Eagle Lighting M5 Freeway Park. http://www.eaglelighting.co.za/ I don't see them on the website but phone and ask. I think they were about R60 each.
  14. I saw some roadies parked off on the side of the road on Sir Lowries when we were on the way to Lebanon this morning. I hooted and got a wave on my way past. Was that you guys?
  15. So where did you buy it GoLefty? And how much? You can buy me one as a wedding present.
  16. I see your stunning Swiss greenery and raise you this shot from Koeberg Nature reserve taken yesterday morning.
  17. I just know I am going to get flamed for this, but I don't understand some of these arguments. I choose to be a salaried employee of a company. I choose whether I want to pay for full medical aid, hospital cover or nothing at all. If my salary is too low to cover my living expenses I can choose to follow a different career that will pay me better or to change my living standards to match my salary. I accept the terms of my emloyment upfront and I have the choice not to. These are my choices alone. I can literally live or die by the choices I make. I don't expect the company I work for to look after me if it all crashes and burns as a result of any bad decisions or choices I may have made. Professional cyclists are no different. Every morning they wake up and reaffirm their choice of career and standard of living. So, how is any of this Barlowworlds fault?
  18. This is from the Warthogs this morning. It's too good not to share. My good friend from team barlowworld tell me about the warthogs - they are wild pigs who do the mountain bike? That is crazy, they must have sexytime!! in Kazakhstan we have smoking chimpanzee, Jonny the monkey, but he fall off bicycle on Kaz TV. I do the job of team massage for glorious Astana, with my friend Alexandre who is team premier. There is no woman strong enough for his legs, they are like the tree trunk. We have good time in France, but they tell us we cheat. We change the blood from Alexandre from the doctor Ferrari before we go bedtime. One night when we win we have big party with lots of sexy girls in hotel, and forget to change blood. next day Alexandre ride like postman Bogatov. We change to blood from the wild bear, and he win like hero again. They tell us we are not allowed further, but that is crazy. we change the blood for years, so does all the teams. We argue with the french, but they are angry man with no good french cyclerider. We go home tomorrow and premier Ushokov going to send us to coalmine, comrade Bilkov from Kazakh Railway will shoot us if he get chance. My big sorry i no get the sex with beautiful ladies who give out the furry lion every day at prizes, they make me go wa wa wee wa! Here is me support the boys up alps road from happy times, good luck warthogs.

  20. I'm thinking of doing it on my MTB. Those last 6 or 7 kms to the gate are uphill and I'll need the granny gear.

  23. That photo is from an altercation at the Kensington Market in Toronto. http://spacing.ca/wire/?m=200601 All I did was a Google image search for "cyclist in fight with motorist" and it was the first result. You can be sure that the The Cradle News did the same thing. I bet they didn't get permission for use of the image either.
