  1. For R40 I'll double your average speed guaranteed. How it works is, you fit the extra magnet I sell you to your front wheel and the bike computer registers double the speed for the same amount of work. *George...start the coat*
  2. Te best way to sleep at night when you have roasties like that is to take a Viagra. It'll keep the sheets off you.
  3. Orthotics for flat feet? Surely a foot pump would work better.
  4. I wanted to take my BMW in for a service so I phoned Auto Atlantic and asked if there were road works on the N1. They said no the road was clear, but would you believe it when I got there I found a massive detour taking me onto the N2. I'm never buying a BMW again due to their bad service.
  5. I recently discovered this http://www.swimsmooth.com/index.html It's well worth the effort to register and download the software for free. The weekly mails they send out are full of good info as well.
  6. What kind of bike is it? If it's a dual suss MTB chances are the bobbing action at the rear is taking the cadence meter a little away from the magnet on the crank. I could never get it to work on my MTB but works 100% on the road bike.
  7. Don't shoot the messenger. ? No I only shoot sheriffs? ? But seriously' date=' if you haven't tried it, do the test yourself, no need for articles and lab results. ? Use a normal helmet with proper aero wheels (a rear disk even better) and then do a test with non aero race wheels and an aero helmet ? There's a huge difference. ? But I agree, there is a differnce from non aero to aero helmet [/quote'] *Looks in garage for deep section wheels, rear disk wheel and aero helmet but doesn't find either* Unable to do the test myself due to lack of test equipment I then did what any self respecting scientist would do. I used Google.

  9. From http://www.bicycling.com/article/0,6610,s1-3-12-14995-1,00.html Most people don't realize that a nonaero helmet creates four times the drag of a nonaero wheelset. So you can spend two thousand dollars on a wheelset, or spend two hundred on a helmet and be faster. How you put your race number on matters more than having an aero wheel; today, we glued on our numbers to get them to fit flatter. Then there's water bottle placement: On a round-tubed frame, having a bottle on your seat tube is more aerodynamic than not having one at all, and it's much more aero than putting it on the down tube. And wearing gloves in a time trial will slow you down more than using a nonaero front wheel.
  10. Tiger Cycles in Kraaifontein.
  11. I wear Fly F16 motocross gloves. R220.00 from Linux Yamaha in CTN. I guess I'm a freak because I wear them on the road as well. I even wore them at IronMan. http://www.mxmegastore.com/2009-FLY-F-16-Motocross-Gloves-p/2009-fly-f-16-gloves.htm
  12. I use one myself and it works well. I make calls to Australia 3 times a week and pay only 42 cents per minute.
  13. There is a way to make them pay. Go to www.vox.co.za and order a Vox phone. Then give your new 087 number to everybody. When a call center phones you on the 087 number you get paid 40 cents per minute that the call lasts. Tell them you can't talk now and can they phone you back in 5 minutes. Continue this until they give up trying you, secure in the knowledge that you are getting at least 40 cents everytime they phone you back. If they phone you on your Telkom landline number ask them to phone you back on your Vox 087 number. That way your contact details will be changed in their database.
  14. What was stupid about Tiger Cycles saying he hadn't been paid a full 2 Months after he worked for the team. No one gave the Astana team a hard time when they protested at the Giro about exactly the same thing.
  15. dirt-rider is correct. I just de-badged it to stop knee jerk reactions.

  19. I have to agree with Fatty. I consider myself to be reasonably hardcore, but I'm not stupid enough to be riding tomorrow just to prove it. I also love my drivetrain and brakes too much to put them through that.
  20. My Raleigh RDS9 comes in at 12.2kg, and that's with heavy Nevgal UST tyres. LargeChrisH2009-05-14 14:48:38
