I have to agree, it's a lot of fun. It cruises quite comfortably on the free-way & is pretty amazing off road. As an all rounder, it's hard to beat.

Still on the no sugar, no bread programme for September, so a boiled egg & greek salad without dressing it is for me! Oddly I don't even use salt or pepper & the taste is just fine, too weird...

Probably not a Kukri, as they are from Nepal & were used to, ah-hem,'snuff' the enemy and an unfortunate food source. Tobacco pouches not exactly a requisite. But...post a pic, I'm keen to check it out.

Agreed, one would probably not buy a GS as an "off road" ride, however being an "adventure" bike, you will be surprised by it's off road capability - plenty youtube vids to back this up. Plus it's a pretty comfortable long distance road cruiser. My GS goes most places the 2 strokes go in the Inanda valley in Kzn!

Ja, adventure biking does eat into bicycle time, don't cut back too much as the fitness helps the hours negotiating technical dirt road riding.

I was pretty happy with the team that was selected for CWC 2015. It's just a pity that the likes of QdK, Steyn, Parnell & Duminy to a lesser extent haven't come good. There have been some good individual performances, but the 'team' hasn't been firing like a well oiled machine. Should the above names step up to the plate, we'll be in with a shout as I believe the other guys are doing just fine. Lets hope.....

Smart money should be on NZ to win it! But making them hot favourites could take pressure off the other front runners, could work in the Protea's favour.....lets hope. As for England...not all is well there.

Sounds like an incorrect saddle fit - assuming no issues with the MTB saddle, give it try & see if the problem goes away.

Agreed, medical imbalances should be precluded before embarking on any dietary course of action...

While I'm sure the facts surrounding this mess will emerge, it's very disappointing & pretty unprofessional that this wasn't resolved prior to the start of the International season!

Perhaps this is way to go. Regardless of UCI punishment, I like this stance where race organisers impose life time bans to their events on dopers.

Has anyone actually reduced time in the saddle with an interval program? If so, can you report any increases/decreases in endurance and or power?
