    Having had a 800gs, I rate it highly. In fact, considering selling my 1200gs and getting the 800gs again. I didn't do much in terms of long trips with a pillion, but I understand it's not the most comfortable place for a pillion with the fuel tank being under the seat. Perhaps someone here with pillion experience could comment? Best test ride with the wife regardless.

There certainly are short terms gains to be made in you have an appetite for risk. Perhaps better though to heed the above advise.

    The Rand has properly tanked and with it the JSE. Must be some good opportunities in oil though, Sasol could be worth investigating...any thoughts?

    At a point, I was quite keen to get a Landy (actually the idea still appeals), but more than one Landy owner has remarked that the owning a Landy is generally only advised for back yard mechanic hobbyists

    As I understand it, their estate would have been taxed prior to bequeaths payment, so recipients don't get taxed on inheritance. So you getting authorised to take receipt should not be a problem, but since there is a red flag raised by sars in terms of this transaction already, it's always wise to get professional counsel before proceeding.

What were the odds on rain, ice & snow curtailing events given the European heat of late Looking at the race situation, some top contenders will be crying themselves to sleep tonight, except Bernal of course..... What price to make the call on how to 'normalise' a fair, albeit a critical stage result. Frankly there is none, few will be accepting, but many will not! What a Tour so far! Bring on stage 20

    Bike licence is relatively easy here in SA. Once you've decided to get a bike, book your learners. It last for 2 years, so plenty time to get ready for the licence test

What I've learned from your escapade & reporting thereof is; much like life - have a plan, be well prepared, keep it simple & persevere the tough stuff. Finally, the job ain't complete until the admin is done.
