  1. *Not the same situation but an example* A close friend had this situation but from the other angle... They emigrated to NZ a few years back and she has a son from her previous marriage, they both (now husband and wife) went to the father and sat with him and discussed the options, quality of life, education, visitation, accommodation (when and if he decides to travel there), etc etc.. I know this isn't the same situation but just an example of a scenario that works. BTW the kid is thriving there
  2. i second the list V12 describes above: Rotary pump is a game changer if you coming from Vibe machines. *I now have 2x biiiiiig grinders on the counter and the wife is not loving them...
  3. I use a Grimac Mia at home and it handles a couple of coffees quite easily. I have even used in a pinch at the market and made about 50 coffees on it with some water tank juggling. Its a cool machine but doesnt have the look of the others. The reason i mention this is the Grimac is a big HX machine, it can handle loads once you master it!
  4. As per V12 grinder, grinder, grinder! I see you mention Linea in your last post, if so, normal Linea and not Linea Mini they are two very different things! 1 group Linea is a beast!
  5. Cold out at the market this morning!
  6. Do you have a pic of the grinder?
  7. Been keen to try that adapter...
  8. Upgraded our mobile coffee setup.. we had a great 2 group but this can run on gas... Excited to pick this us on Thursday!
  9. Agree with V12.. Aeropress and a decent grinder Also a metal disc filter makes a big different.

    Who remembers?

My dad had a mk1 escort running Cossie motor etc. Stories are pretty wild about that thing! Also had a Renault Gordhini, which he had years and years ago way before my time! Proper cars those!

    Yep
  13. So is it a 7S26 movement?
  14. When Dave Grohl is your dad, you may have some inherited talent... 12 years old, imagine how proud that oke is standing there playing the guitar!!!
  15. I listen to the KEXP full live performance all the time.. Love them! My favorite off that performance!! Cant help myself now...
  16. They handle ok with a little load at the back, not so well empty (They have an 800kg payload max) This one has a coffee machine, water, pumps, grinder etc etc so not exactly a circuit racer!
  17. So top speed is 80km/h in our one but not sure I'd even try that!
  18. The new one is a marked improvement over the old one
  19. Another option could be the seal is worn, once the rubber gets too smooth it can stick. Fortunately on the oracle its easy to pull the seal and screen out to check!
  20. Lol! The cardboard was for when they changed the starter motor on it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Does this count? Oh, it’s a diesel! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Yours was a once in a lifetime deal for sure!
  23. I've learnt that you want a slightly bigger boiler in these little machines as the steam eats into that volume
  24. There are so many good options out there you really dont need to compromise any more. The gaggia is great, always loved them, tiny boiler and poor steam for the same price as a Silvia.. wouldnt buy one unless its a screaming deal! Also Grimac Mia's, if you see one for a decent price they are a joy to own, I love mine! Only issue is its larger than the others, but, huge boiler and killer steam!
