I used the KLE to work today again, not a hitch at all... It was just low fuel yesterday morning I think it has a sticky float and it definitely needs chain and sprockets! Otherwise smooth sailing

Used the KLE for the first time this morning.. Alberton to Midrand It died at Van Buuren but switched to reserve and off I went again (It has fuel so im not sure why) Few issues Ive discovered, radiator fan isnt coming on Gets quite warm, enough to make my leg uncomfortable. otherwise it was good to avoid traffic again, first time commuting for about 5 years!

So really there are two scenarios here: 1. Its a bumper movement and worth a couple of thousand.. 2. Its a regular 5xx, 7xx, 10xx, movement in there, worth a bit less but still collectible. Just a warning, the market is down at the moment on Vintage Omega unless its a Speedmaster as the 50 year anni of the moon landing has kind of over shadowed everything. any chance on the paperwork there is a number in this sort of sequence 166.0163?

Ya, im not the tallest oke... GS is out of the question, even the lower stand over stuff like a KLR is a bit too tall for me. This KLE is perfect, nice big frame for comfort with a lower standover and not huge weight was my thinking. Its not running very well but I have a feeling the fuel is old and bad, carbs need cleaning and a service we should be in business. I paid less than a bicycle so I'm happy to put the time in.

I picked up a project commuter this weekend.. KLE500, needs a bit of tlc but otherwise ok. I will update with pics once its a bit more presentable!

i'll be honest here... I believe the Silvia is the best value vs performance pro-sumer machine on the market. I don't believe that anything below a GS3 or similar can compete... You will have to spend considerably more money to get better than a Silvia....
