  1. I ordered a Garmin Edge 500 about 3 weeks ago and still nothing in the mail? Anyone else wait this long? They state expected delivery time is 5-8 days. Maybe it's the Volcano? I mailed them twice in the last 3 days and no reply, not a happy customer. anybody else have similar problems?
  2. Perhaps the key lies not in asking who's to blame, but in educating both riders, technical staff and sponsors...
  3. There are always options... We have some of the best Sports Physicians, Physio's, Bio's and Exercise Scientists in the world, yet riders still choose to dope, rather than follow the the legal ulternative.
  4. These okes are going to look like they cycling naked, apart from the giant foot... Whoever thought of this had a giant foot up their arses...
  5. No quick fixes, it does not work that way. Person should have some scientific/physiological background. Programmes shoud be individualised (NOT generic!!!) Programmes should be realistic and orientated towards the athlete's goals. Person should be willing to refer the athlete to dieticians, doctors, physiologists etc. Personal relationship with athlete (as in get to know the person, not sleep with them like some coaches) Not a money shark Do they have other athletes training under them performing well and happy? There are more but that's what I could think of now...
  6. Wild guess. You have been cycling or doing endurance exercise for much longer and more regularly in your life than he has?
  7. Shimano... That's a sacrilege on a Bianchi! Tyres look good though!whitesox2009-09-23 02:43:33
  8. If it's old then why did you start this thread? Personally I think the whole thing has been over inflated. Obviously there would be tension if you put 2 great champions in the same cage. Fortunately for them they kept their cool and won the TdF... Raleigh vs Dunlop = NEITHER Shimano vs Campag = CAMPAG (with SRAM in 2nd)
  9. It sure can, you will have to modify it somehow where it normally would attach to the rear derailleur. Easier on a single speed than a track bike I would say.
  10. Our Greatest Fear ?Marianne Williamson it is our light not our darkness that most frightens us Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others. ?Marianne Williamson

  12. I was almost mugged 2 weeks ago near Cloetesville as well. It's getting too dangerous to ride past there. I stay in the same development as Erik. The problem is that we either need to pass Kayamandi or Cloetesville when we return from training, both are danger zones. This is getting rediculous. We have the right to ride wherever and be safe. I made a case with the Police when almost got mugged and was promised that ther would be daily patrols during this time. But it seems nothing is being done...
  13. I agree! Waste of paper!!!
  14. Was riding back home after my training yesterday when two guys tried to mug me next to the R44 at Cloetesville. Fortunately I was vigilant and able to get away before anything really bad happened. I am aware that this is a danger zone, but I need to pass it to get to my house, so I basically have no other choice, except if I drive to Stellenboch and ride from there. A week ago a stone was thrown at me there too... People, please be careful and watchful when riding there. Try to avoid if at all possible. I also made an officail complaint at the Police. I feel that this is better than just leaving it. There more cases are opened in this regard, the more th cops will become aware of the problem and something will be done. I hope so at least. Must say, so far the Cloetesville Police have been great.
  15. I disagree. I have a CS600 with Power and everything works like a charm. Sure, it's not a SRM or Powertapp, but it works. The setup is easy if done correctly, sure it takes some time, but you only need to do it once. I would not say it's a bitch
  16. On a coffee ride to Gordon's Bay, a bergie approached us and asked for money. Bergie: Het menerie vi my 'n paar sente nie please. Ek slaap ini bos... Cyclist: Regtig, ek slaap ook ini bos... Bergie: Naai djy lieg mos! Cyclist: Jaa! Ini Stellenbosch.
