  2. Find you Fit
  3. not all of us are rolling in the money
  4. Its always green glass. My tyres are still pretty good tread wise, but the amount of cuts on them that seep sealant overnight has me waiting for the day I find my wheel flat when i get to my bike in the morning. Hence me having a spare set of tyres waiting to go on.
  5. Wind flipped direction Saturday morning. By the time I got to work it had flipped 180 deg
  6. I didn’t have much choice, needed to go to Alberton
  7. Wrong conditions to be hunting Frosty KOM the wind going out was awesome, not so much coming back.
  8. i've got a 3/4 full bottle of smoove that I've just put into the cupboard and replaced with white lightning. I HATE smoove. The nozzle clogs, it gets extremely dirty and requires alot of effort to clean the drive train.
  9. in before someone mentions making their own sealant
  10. maybe I'm seeing something that isnt. my lube also has a nozzle (damn that sounds so wrong ) , but its not the easiest to apply a drop per link, you either end up with to little or to much and then it drips on the floor. The way I'm seeing this is that it applies the right size drop per link. And then the size is convenient to take it along to away races like CTCT where even though you've lubed before sending the bike down you might want to add some extra when you get down there.
  11. that looks convenient.
  12. is this the equivalent of posting a pic of your car on the side of the road with the bonnet open ?
  13. Cois if thats a recent pic of you then you've got this, in that pic I see someone that is very far away from giving up the fight. We're all rooting for you.
  14. i use Joggies Bike Transport. Have used him twice now and its been a breeze. Not sure what his tandem price is, but normal bike is R1125
  15. Thanks for the offer, will most definitely keep you on the list. I'd prefer to support a local hubber rather than a hotel chain. I'm trying to keep the costs as low as possible as I've had a crap year of sales so any budget I was putting aside for this was used up.
  16. how late should I leave booking flights and accommodation ? Started to look at prices today for flights etc.
  17. you can still track fitness and freshness levels And if you've done the same route enough times in different conditions you can get a feel for what the numbers should be vs what actually got recorded. For instance post Covid I've riden the same routes as pre covid, routes I've done 100s of times in varying conditions and I've been able to track my improvements over those routes.
  18. provided you have a power meter. Power curve does buggerall without a power meter.
  19. Last Calendar day of winter Woza Summer. First calendar day of spring.
  20. my phone did the same thing to me last week, wanted to take a pic whilst riding, managed to hit the screen shot combo instead.
  21. seconded Intervals.icu if you want to monitor fitness, power etc. Statshunter, veloviewer, elevate if you want to play around with stats proBikeGarage , hubtiger if you want to keep track of bike maintenance
  22. i just bought a new SRAM PC1110 from Cycle Lab. Advertised price R309, after the mycyclelife vouchers I paid R180
  23. all those "apps" pull their data from strava
  24. its been a few years, but if I recall I went into each activity in cyclemeter, exported as gpx, then imported that gpx into strava. I seem to recall getting the files from phone to pc and then using strava on pc to import because the phone app did not allow it. I had 10 years worth of activities, it took a while.
  25. by all means use what you must or like, I personally never used to use Strava, always used Cyclemeter, had registered for Strava but never bothered with it. I was looking for a central place that had both PC and phone based access to my data with the ability to play around with how I viewed the stats, some recommended I use Strava. So I painstakingly exported all my activities, one at a time, and imported into Strava. Then via Bikehub found out about all sorts of interesting plugins like Statshunter, veloviewer, BikeProGarage, Elevate, Intervals.icu etc. and now I've got everything synching to one central point of entry. I think I still have Training Peaks pulling data from Strava.
