  1. Mine is predicting some cloud cover but so far no rain
  2. apparently they are taking solar panels. probably because they are out in the open, I would imagine the batteries will be the next targets. I think i need to invent some sort of cover/trunking thing that goes between the inverter and the trunking. I'll make millions. Everything else looks neatish, but those red and black cables exposed going into the trunking like that gets my bib shorts in a knot.
  3. you should try looking for places with a granny flat. Agents hardly ever take pics of the flat, so when you get there to view you find out its a servants quarters at the back of the house. Waste of everybody's time.
  4. Eish. So much for living in a "secure" estate.
  5. that gorgeous
  6. Michael Els
  7. anyone planning on using Rondebuilt road to cut through boksburg to get there please be aware that they have closed both sides of the road due to a sink hole at Viewpoint Farming
  8. beautiful pic
  9. If I recall correctly all the cogs were individual on teh cassette, so it was easy enough to swap out the big cogs for bigger ones.
  10. Since the OP has disappeared we can only guess what he want to "upgrade" I ran 9 speed for many many years. For some different gearing I changed a few of the the individual sprockets on the cassette and also changed the chainring size upfront, depending on the terrain I was going to race on.
  11. please no. intervals.icu is a great tool, we dont need strava messing it up. (Although I'm sure David would really like that cash injection from the buy out)
  12. and depending on where you are on the route there is even varying amounts of protein (and other stuff) getting sprayed up off the wheels infront of you. So no need to worry about nutrition. Does anyone remember all the OMO bubbles on peoples bibs ?
  13. tried that, doesnt work. Also seems to be overlaying tiles. And then it dawned on me. I have a statshunters plug-in installed on this browser. Change the setting and its now sorted.
  14. have donwloaded and will give it a go. Initial impressions are that its another thing to remember to start before setting off on a ride. Is there anyway you can connect it to a device or something so that when you hit start on your garmin it starts on the app ? Question 2 Have you done any long term testing regarding battery usage ?
  15. Resurrecting an old thread. On Garmin connect web, if I go into an activity, the map now shows a heatmap. I cant seem to find a place to turn off the hear map overlay. Even if I choose, Hear Rate/Speed etc. as an overlay it still shows the heatmap. Any ideas how to turn this off ?
  16. 2A for me. Same batch I was supposed to start in last year.
  17. This is my last year to set a good time. Next year is my cycling mates 21st ride and the year after that is my 21st, for both of these we have decided we will ride together. So unless he miraculously ups his game, they will be slower rides. (which I dont mind at all, it just means I wont be setting any PBs those years)
  18. I even checked junk mail folders. Nadda, nothing, #okkol!
  19. Look after this car, hold onto it for dear life. Since they stopped production of them a few years ago the resale values have only increased. A big high body with heavy engine does not a safe car make. The electronics you mentioned will at the most bring it down to a 4 star rating by not having them. Other things like crumble zones, airbags and stuff is what brings up the NCAP rating. But you have a little gem there. Look after it. Dont think of it as a cheap 100k car, it is not that.
  20. winner winner chicken dinner
  21. I also see they give 947 a higher beta than CTCT, meaning they rate it as harder.
  22. out of interest sake I jumped onto Racetec earlier to see my seeding, I see they are using my 2022 947 as part of my seeding. I see my 2021 947 is listed under unused events. Not sure if this will be used for CTCT though.
  23. courtesy to other road users. It goes a loooonngg way to easing congestion. I nearly had a head on collision over a blind rise this morning because some btch in a double cab decided she was more important than everyone else waiting in the queue of traffic and proceeded to pass, over a solid line, on a blind rise, in the oncoming lane. But like you said, it all about how SHE could get to her destination quicker and stuff everyone else.
  24. bike shops are good place to start. Or just ride your bike. Soon enough you'll meet up with another cyclist, have a chat whilst you ride together. You'll find people to ride with.
  25. start what ?
