  1. Loved it. Not the Mama!!
  2. Hi Hoekvlag, Is the route the same to previous years?
  3. It just means he is passionate about any type of "gogga"
  4. It is in a prefect condition!!!! R7000. Wow. I'm gonna spend at least R60k (at today's price).
  5. BSc Agric with Entomology and Plant Pathology as majors. Masters (and hopefully PhD) will be Entomology.
  6. Pic of the Seamaster please. I have this deal with my son who is at Stellies (3rd year) (BTW I'm also an ex Matie/Capetonian). If he gets his PhD before he turns 25, I'll buy him a Seamaster. He's got 4 years left, which means B degree next year and 3 years for his PhD - certainly doable!!!
  7. Interesting. I am following LuxuryTime on FB, they're selling 2nd hand top end watches out of Menlyn I think. Prices are less than current retail, but not sure if better than original price. I have a number of Tissot's - mainstream and good value for money, a Luminox and a beautiful Tag Aquaracer. Would love to have a TAG Carrera, IWC, Cartier Tank, Lange & Sohne. But probably will never get any. :-(
  8. Love your taste in watches. I am seriously jealous!! You working for Steinhoff????
  9. Eddy. Based on your track record, I'm calling dibs on your substitution request.....
  10. Furbz is 100% correct. I have a Niner RLT Alu with carbon fork, rest all Alu (Shimano 105 and Niner components) that I bought for about R25k backend of 2015. Frame can accommodate up to 42c. A really harsh ride with 32c tyres (about 2.3-2.5 Bar for gravel, 3-3.5 Bar for tar) Gets much better with 40c tyres at 2-2.5 Bar. Bike is also heavy at around 10kg. In 2015 there was little choice for gravel bikes - the scene exploded since then as we all know. If I had to do it all over again. I would do a custom build, so you get exactly what you want.
  11. she can kick my butt everyday..
  12. The website is playing up a bit, can't get to the FAQ section. So a question. Can they retrofit into a used Alu crank, Shitmano/Campy locally?
  13. Snap, there can be only one Magnum. This guy's a whimp. The Ferrari is just as pretty as always. The new Higgins...that can work..I'll get used to that, the British accent But I will still miss the original.
  14. Oh and Wags' character is a beaut!! Old man Rhodes too!!
  15. Yebo, and I would love for Wendy to analyse me. Over and over again.
  16. Likewise :-) Was nice racing with you!! It was blood and tears, but great fun!! You and your partner were super strong. Hope to be 4 kg lighter for next year!!!
  17. I loooved this race. But it was flippen hard!!! The team concept makes for great racing, I was happy to have a superstrong team mate. The organisation of the race is top class. Safety of the riders are always top of mind. Well done to Fiona and her team!!
  18. Eish Eddy. I'm gobsmacked. I feel your pain!!!! Sorry man!!
  19. All the best to the riders doing the races in my favourite, favourite, favourite town, Prince Albert this weekend. Please have a Glenhoff beer at the hotel, or even two. Enjoy the race, I am seriously jealous that I cannot be there this year. As punishment for not attending, I'll be doing the Panorama Tour, suffering on the Queen stage over Boulders. Have fun on Meiringspoort and Swartberg, both are super special.
  20. Ignorance is bliss so don't worry. I know that area well, and I'm fairly fit, but I'm still ***scared. To train in that area is hard, to race, eish. Stage 2 is gonna hurt.
  21. You are a sucker for punishment. Respect!!
  22. That area is used to catering for many events, including the CPT. Expect the very best in Karoo hospitality with a great spread, from Ostrich sosaties to the normal stuff you see at the events. Perhaps carry a few bananas.
  23. To help with a bit of additional speed on the tar, you might want to consider using 40c gravel tyres. If you order from CWC this morning, you will have them by Thursday. The 36 will then also come in handy.
  24. Op die website. In kort: St1: Witrivier - Sabie - Witrivier (out and back) St2: Witrivier- Boulders - Witrivier (kinda out and back) St3: Witrivier - Hazyview- Witrivier (out and back) St4: TTT onveranderd St1-3: 5300m klim in 300km. Eish!!
  25. Route change boys and girls. No more Brondal road. But this race just got tougherererererer.
