  1. Depending on condition, I would say R1500
  2. Jules

    SRAM XX

Do you really want to hear the answer?

Two ways to spot a World Cup pro: no granny gear and only one bottle cage
  4. Thanks Vuilgoed I'll probably be there, either on a GT cyclo-cross bike or a blue GT Zaskar Team.
  5. I was also thinking of hitting groenkloof. Do you think it'll be open?
  6. Guess it's the racing ladies then, and it sounds like she needed more than a energy sachet if she was in C bunch at the time :-) I was riding behind some cycle lab guy with a VB number who threw his empty sachet away. At the time I was unfortunately in no mental state either to memorise his number or take him to task :-(
  7. Did anyone get a pic of the Pervelo bike? I'd be keen to find out what that's about...
  8. Bored girl and I rode Giba and the WC course yesterday! I think there is little in Gauteng that compares to the Giba stuff in terms of scenery. It might be possible to find single track that is similar though.
  9. Hehe I haven't had too much trouble getting my head around BBs and pedals. But adjusting a rapid-rise derailler knocked me for six the first few times I did it!
  10. Your location would help.
  11. I think Johan's right. The drive side is left hand thread and the non-drive is normal. Only Italian thread BBs are normal on both drive and non-drive.
  12. I had an issue once before but it was because the item I chose was out of stock. Sometimes it says it's in stock and then it's not. It's easy just to contact them and tell them to leave the out of stock item off the order and ship the rest. Also helps to stick to high-volume products.
  13. I haven't ridden them yet so I can't comment on their longevity of shifting. However, on close inspection, they seem to be of a better quality than other cheap alternatives like BBB. One thing though: they are not for weight weenies. That doesn't bother me in the slightest. I think that there are far too many cyclists who are obsessed with weight to the point where it seriously damages their wallets and mental health, with a near-negligible effect on their cycling performances. This applies especially to wearing parts like casettes and chains.
  14. Damn right they will! Just need to get a tool for the BB. My Campy cassette tool doesn't get past the spindle. Why do they do that ? It's the same for the Shimano cassette tool and C-lock disk brakes.
  15. Ja it was a good deal. Pity they only had them in 170mm. Otherwise I'd have been tempted to get myself one
  16. My stuff arrived this afternoon and I feel like a kid at Christmas time: Tackx bike rack R1025.80 http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs040.snc1/3346_169008510640_868120640_6350232_1129667_n.jpg http://photos-c.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-snc1/v3346/125/114/868120640/n868120640_6350234_3762699.jpg Kenda Karma tubeless tyres R341.55 each Deore LX Hollowtech II crank with BB (for Bored Girl) R820.89 Ambrosio casettes for Campy: R410.55 each All prices include VAT. Delivery was free. Now remind me why I should buy my stuff through our local agents again, please?
  17. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. I'd go for the Silverback at that price.
  18. Yebo yes but PM Kiwi to be 100% sure.
  19. LOOK in France ?
  20. And what'll happen to the old frame, once it's traded in?
  21. Of course he needs to comment. The guy is a "brand ambassador" for goodness sake. He's on the Whasp website. Pornstar has been an outspoken critic of littering in the past. He even introduced an anti-littering initiative. Even if Magoo's empty sachet really did "just fall out" of his pocket, he needs to be taken to task for suggesting that littering is a trivial matter, issuing veiled threats on the hub and generally behaving in a manner unbecoming of an ambassador.
