    Formula 1...

Do you think it is Sebastian's bicycle choice that makes him such a good F1 driver? (It is a cycling forum after all)
  2. Hi mtbbiker Please give me a shout if you need to borrow a bike or two for Sani2C. Would be terrible to miss Sani2C becasue of a 'jacking'. Depending on your sizes we can try get you a Cube demo bike or two to use next week.

  4. For R40k he can get a CUBE AMS Super HPC Race Great value for money and also stands out in a crowd. http://www.cube-bike.co.za/index.php/full-suspension/ams-super-hpc-race-details
  5. Good luck to all of you doing that silly little race on Sunday.
  6. PappaBear or anyone else. PM if you want any info on the CUBE products otherwise phone me. Will give you all the information you like.
  7. I'm glad I am not the only one battling.. I thought the riding in the rain on Sunday had maybe caused the problem.
  8. Here is a bike review that I have just read that reminded me of your problem. http://ftptraining.wordpress.com/2010/09/ Does not tell you how to fix it though... sorry.
  9. http://www.cube.eu/hardtail/comp-series/acid-white-green/ Value for money and great looking
  10. As requested
  11. I made my own racks for keeping my bikes out the way. It is cheap and works very well if you have wall space. I'll put up a pic or two if you like. All the bike weight sits on its own wheels so no scratching or damage to the bike.
  12. e.g. CUBE ACID 2011 CRC: R10 800. Local : R 10 499. CUBE STEREO RACE 2011 CRC: R36 000. Local : R 34 999. CUBE XMS 2011 CRC: R16 300 Local : R 15 999. And I am sure your LBS will be willing to give a discount if you ask nicely which you won't get from CRC. And don't forget the setup, free service that usually comes with the LBS.
  13. Ashchest It is cheaper to buy CUBE's locally. And there are agents in the country that you want to import from too.
  14. Hi @Fox@ Please be more specific about the bike you looking for. PM me and i am sure I will be able to anwser your questions and give you the dimensions.
  15. Well done to all the CHOC rides. Especially to those that did 2 laps, the guys on the Ice Cream trucks and those who helped along the way. And to all the other people who managed to raise money for a worthy course.
  16. message me GTForce and i will explain the costs of importing it.
  17. Hi SFDT The bikes I have looked at are much cheaper here than from CRC. If you or anyone else wants me to run through the costs contact me and i will show you why local is better.
  18. Boxaboy.. I know you looking at the AMS Comp 2010 and I see CRC has a huge discount. R10k plus R1.5k transport + 15% import duty + 14% VAT Then remember if you take it to bike shop to get it assembled properly - R300 Then if baught locally you usually get a free bike setup - R500. Then throw in 1 or 2 free services - R800 Also your warrenty from CRC will be in the UK and not SA for the frame and all components. Example : XMS 2011 CRC = R 11450 therefore your landed cost will be R 16 300. That excludeds all the extras above. Locally the bike is selling for R15 999. Take all the extras into account and you will see bying an XMS locally will save you at least R1k and still have peace of mind and you will have supported the local industry.
  19. I have more pics if you guys are keen to see them
  20. The design of the back absorbs vertical shocks but not horizontal. Its like having a small shock at the back.
  21. Hi Just been reading the posts above and have a few points of my own. 1) CUBE is cheaper localy than if you buy it on CRC. 2) There is a reason why CUBE won Eurobike best Hardtail and best Full Sus design awards this year. 3) Every CUBE bike is fully assembled and tested in Germany so dont expect any issues.
