Nice maximo..... I have been eating the whole day.....started at 4:40 with a mini bowl of Maximize + milk, then half a Special K bar on the ride, then half a breakfast bagel with 3 cups of tea at Fournos, then half a bag of pretzels (the big bag that is), a banana, some more tea and now a mug of hot chocolate. And we're waiting for the lunch which would be burgers

I ride the Spruit often but I must say I have never done it alone. It surpises me when I see girls riding it alone......not a woosie but that's just playing with fire for me. I saw what happened to 1 of us a few weeks back and don't even want to think what would have happened if he was alone or if something happens to me while I am alone.

Apparently it will be -1C tomorrow........Nortcliff here we come I must say I am more worried bout my upper body being cold. I ride with leg warmers and ordinary shorts and toe caps. The upper body however.....undershirt, woolen vest, thermal arm warmers and then my Standard bank winter top. However I don't think that is enough and am going to start piling on stuff without caring how it looks in the "style" icons on the road.....

They look nice in blue. Think mud and dripping blood look better on me than pink And BB.....those fancy things don't come in green which is a blessing in disguise cos if they did I'd want them....

If I had the cash I'd go blue.....but thats just me

Hey BB Lets explore why..... I was told not to ride alone. 1 safety is an issue and two lets face it not much fun. Then Mr Worry himself goes and becommes a dad AGAIN Must be real fun Plus I haven't seen the notorious Dirt Rider since......um.......well very long time ago. I do as much races as I can but decided this year not to go out of my way like I did last year and just do ones that are closer to home. (just like you're doing) Ok ok with the exception of the race that's coming up next weekend. No more Mintek (where if nothing else I did push up my heart rate and it was off rd). No more Teak races and somehow Babbas is always on the wrong day Been doing Spruit lately Then the bunch of friends that motivates me enough to actually get up in the middle of the night and make an effort preffer rd and concentrate in doing good on that front, so if I want some decent km into my legs I have no other option but to join. So yes.....I am riding lots more on the rd these days. But I am getting my merida back from a service on Sat (hope all would be well there), going for a test ride Sun, then doing Knysna next weekend then Walkerville the weekend after....Quite a bit planned for MTBiking for the next few weeks....who knows I might come back to the light side after that bored girl2008-06-26 03:58:41

Ok so it's been 7 months and some changes have happened. I am quite happy with the way my bike has been progressing It has been achieved mostly by appreciating other people's generocities and 1 BIG THANK YOU here to Jules. The Ultegra, the wheels, the time covered in grease..... So here are a few snaps of what is slowly becomming my baby My new cranks.....belonged to a hubber I believe So shorter, 170mm, carbon and compact..... My Ultegra stuffs..... And as of last night.....my new wheels A few small things could be improved on....like lets say 1inch headset.....or a front Ultegra brake caliper..... Oh and 1 day, when I am big I want to call Cyclearts and maybe make it look something like this: Shiny black with pearly white letteting.....
