  1. I got a few pics from the finish....but not the juniors.....I was a bit distracted by the crash that happened 200m to go...

  5. I really wanted to go to the one here but didn't manage it. I felt a bit guilty as I would have loved to try a few out but am not in a position to buy what I want. And shame on whoever the sales person was. Usually they try and sell you everything under the stars....I wonder what he would have offered me if he knew I still ride my banged up Merida that I bought 2 yrs back for R3300 bored girl2009-02-17 02:30:07
  6. I love my BBB (even if they are not mine....technically... )
  7. 1. He's not on the hub 2. That's what he was told after his bike came back from a service. He is choosing to believe it... It's a small thing so if using a neoprene chainstay could prevent however small possible damage why not use it? bored girl2009-02-15 12:58:16
  8. I recently bought The departed for home use and during the movie there's a song that plays.... Googled and it's by Dropkick Murphys "I'm shipping up to Boston"
  9. Don't know but I like their kit

  13. Of course did you think I went all the way there for a rd race? Come on.....thought you knew me by now Hope I don't have to make as much noise as intern to get that sweat, blood and tears money.....I am not as experienced in putting things accross as entertaing-ly

  15. I read that one......one looooooooooooong article that And a bit off topic.....another article on there had the Nashua ladies team a bit confused....names....bikes they rode.... I like Ride and I know it gets published a while before it goes to print, so ok bike sponsor could have been changed for instance, but then names don't change on regular basis....
  16. Depends on the race I suppose.....If it's a great route I won't mind spending bit over R100....
  17. When you win a small amount they usually give it cash and that's no problem. This was the first one I had to fill in a form so lets see.... So I suppose smaller races are better....you get your money straight away...bored girl2009-02-04 08:17:58
  18. You making me scared now.....I faxed my form from the Herald yesterday.....lets see if it's more speedy bored girl2009-02-04 08:14:15
  19. No expert or anything but I don't think you need to kill yourself on a training ride. If you gonna ride every alternative day how much riding are you planning to do? I find that I struggle with longer MTB races as I only ride 1.5 hrs a day, doing +/- 40km and at the moment I do that twice a week, I race most Wed nights (even though I've been slacking a bit lately) and I do at least 1 ride/race a weekend. It works for competing in 40km or so races but anything above I think you'd struggle....my opinion anyway....
  20. My 2 cents...i rode a year and a half with dr sludge tubes only (2 sets in that time and i only replaced set 1 cos i was paranoid). Then at Knysna last year I suppose i wasn't paranoid enough and the life of my 2nd set was gone i had unpleasant experiences...3 of them. So was teased that i didn't have tubeless. Got the ghetto conversion done and that worked OK for a while. Now with my proper tubeless tyres, rims, proper stans and what not and on the way to the start of the race yesterday, while riding on the tar i get a cut...so much for worry free race. Basically...nothing is 100% and you should hope that you lucky and you don't get a puncture during a race...whatever method you've chosen...
  21. As the lady told me it included a recreational licence of R25 which no one wants.....as it is even with the extra R75 or whatever a full licence costs, it is still a better deal than any others out there at the moment. The bibs I got have the same shammy as my R650 capestorms that got torn a few weeks back....and I paid R615 to join the club.....
  22. If you only done 1 race, even though a sub 3 it will take a while before you get a better seeding. Apparently it's not about being fit
  23. We actually spotted Pantani twice last week on Oxfrord Rd But we weren't good enough for him to come ride with us....
