Smoking while on a bike will always be an embarasing social condition. Perhaps the smoker can not afford to buy a good quality chain lube. Using hyperrama grade brake pads on carbon rims may also cause an amount of smoke to eminate from the offending party. Does the smoke have an odour or an unusual colour? Is it often coupled with a high pitched squealing sound? Any kind of smoking is never cool when descending at high speeds. A puff and then a loud bang may well be the begining of a journey into the more deadly aspects of tar, and should be avoided like getting dropped by the "ZC" bunch.

Got quoted R255 at westlake cycle lab for Look keo cleats (grey). Bought them from Olympic cycles for R155. Point not if that was good or bad second price but that one shop can have such a huge mark up over another shop. Maybe it was because I called cycle lab on a sunday?

Do any of the circle cycle regulars ride during the week? I have a very flexible timeframe during the winter bar one or two shifts... can start rides from like 5h30am to 14h00pm. That would be a start time not duration. LOL.
