  1. Those crates are awesome, I had one for two weeks with my Husky's leg break. Do you leave the door open and he's free to come and go as he pleases? I went to fetch our Ridgeback so our house is organised chaos with introducing a mild natured Ridgeback with a bossy Husky!
  2. My poor doggo has had his fair share of cones in his short life. Funnily it didn't even bother him. He was able to remove it a few times a day but I'd also take it off but make sure he never got to his bandage.
  3. Tim Don replied on the post asking if there was International entries, voitog he probably misses SA. Anyway ever cloud has a silver lining, at least it gives us more time to do stupidly long rides to condition the body. Anyone keen on a flatish ride to Port Nolloth and back?
  4. 5150 Scheduled for 21 November 2020 has been cancelled and will return on the 21 November 2021. I don't think IM SA is happening this year peeps.
  5. I wanted to race in November, I promised myself a full IM before I was 40 So delaying the race until a few months after my 40th was approved (I made an application to myself and after some consideration I approved my application) so if it doesn't happen in November I'll apply for my promise to be amended so that I complete a full IM in my 40th year of existence.
  6. Don't think it's happening but I'll be starting some training 1st May so should a decision be made then I won't be starting from slob to IM, it will be more of a semi slob to IM.
  7. What IM in Nov? hahahahahahah
  8. I don't even feel bad for doing nothing since IM PE got postponed. I doubt it will happen in Nov but I set up my IDT so will start tomorrow and will also start running. I'll see what happens about the sea swims.
  9. Looking for some advice from the ever knowledgeable Hub folk on Pet Insurance?? And go....
  10. I had to take our 8 week old Husky to the Vet on Thursday morning at 3am (second time in the 3 weeks we've had him) He's had some trouble weeing so hopefully the tests are complete today and he doesn't need surgery just a diet change.
  11. Sorry for your loss. I cried like a little girls when I had to put our Lab down last year.
  12. Not sure but watching this, I might join you on that long swim.
  13. Image hosting not working...
  14. Sorry for your loss.
  15. Hopefully next year once our house is done I can start with the pool, I'm also looking towards the bungee cord thing. Anyone have any figures for those endless pools? I'm sure if I type in endless pool DIY there's probably some dude who's made a stand for his 40HP outboard motor and mounted it in the pool... With a disclaimer about a cage around the propeller as optional....
  16. Spar Rosmead Avenue...
  17. At the mo I'm grateful to have a job so working extra hours seems the least I can do in the grand scheme of things. I have some DIY demolition work once the lockdown is over... I'm going to save my insanity for those walls...
  18. Good on you, I'm in what you could call destruction phase! Haven't done anything in the last 2 weeks. Work is crazy so up early and finish late I'll just wait until I get paroled. Still have a dumb trainer but have just thought of something now. Watch this space....
  19. We're a month or so since IM PE was postponed, who thinks we'll race in November or do you think we'll be on the start line in 2021?
  20. That's a great idea, think I'm going to do Number 1 and Number 2's grips.
  21. I entered a competition yesterday to win a Rook bike. A fixie would look very cool in my "Stable"... Sorry
  22. 3 hours ...pffft easy peasy.....lol I managing about an hour run around the house. Can't really trust the watch as it only records about 4kms but I'm loving the 80% of max heart rate :-)
  23. It shows you how mentally different humans are, I'm not sure how else I can put it. It's not an insult to anyone but humans are so different. I told a work colleague that because of the weather I decided to do my 6-7 hour ride at the gym and he flipped so how boring it was. To me I think I handled it, however hearing someone do a static swim for lets say an hour... I'm not sure they only way for me to find out if I can do it is to try....
  24. Anyone see that lady that completed the Ironman distance at home? Static swim, IDT and run around the garden??
  25. 4 Hours on a treadmill? That's crazy! I've done 6h30 but broke it up 2 hour stints at a time.
