  1. I started swimming about a month and a half ago and then Squirrel said gyms needed to close and I'm back to WFH so my whole routine was out.
  2. Hi All, I see there are now two dates on the website... 21 November 2021 / 3 April 2022. Me thinks it's probably going to move out again.
  3. There was a post on FB earlier today where the buyer said she bought this bike a few months ago and didn't know the true value of the bike. She now wants to get the bike back to it's righful owner.... I'm glad the dude got his bike back but I think he should ask questions as to where she bought it from etc
  4. That A45 looks the business with that bike on it. I tried out the roof rack mount once and didn't enjoy it, think I'll just put my bike on it one more time and drive around the neighbourhood to build confidence ????
  5. About this, I had a guy last week come and quote on our house. He says that I won't be able to get pet friendly sensors as my dogs (Ridgeback and Husky) will set the alarm off? Any advice will be welcomed here as I prefer having sensors outside (current house has sensors which don't go off, possible that they are not very sensitive hence the dogs roaming freely) but keen to hear what options I have. As for the OP sorry you've had to go through this and really hope your insurance settles you as painlessly as possible. I remember watching one of those Anton Koen vids and they just by chance saw something shiney and asked the driver about it... Lot's of eish not sure, no answers and then they unpacked a road bike that was jacked in Cape Town a few weeks before the video was taken. Now that I'm thinking about it, it could be the Rig workers bike that he's surprising his cousin with?
  6. I got my first tag at the Cape Ultra a few years ago and thought it was a really good idea. Then the missus stumbled upon this iceid website. I've got the very basic one which I don't take off anymore and she also got me the watch strap one. She feels better knowing that should something happen some person might call her or might take my watch off my arm and off they go... You just never know.
  7. Jammer om dit hoor... but I'm also glad that you're going through this! I no longer feel alone. Sterkte!!
  8. Sooooo How's everyone's training going? I've been so slap gat with my training as work has been insane and so has life. I've barely hit my weekly 600 points for Vitality. Just not sure when this event will actually take place as we now see the numbers climbing again and the talks of limit gatherings again.... ???? #Covidsemoer
  9. This takes me back to my youth.... My dad rewiring the trailer plug and me having to stand behind the trailer to check if everything is working. A few years ago I bought a trailer, went to pick it up and wanted to plug it in.... WTF Audi had this crazy plug with all these little holes. Anyway complained when I got home, phoned up an Auto sparky he came and did a rewire. Trailer worked and all was well....until I sold the car and emptied the boot... Oh what's in this white box. Aahhh an adapter plug for when I tow a trailer!!!!
  10. Two if my friends use these and they are surprisingly good. They've not complained about any damage to the car.
  11. I use the Holdfast Top Runner. I'll eventually get another for the trailer and just gooi all 4 bikes on the trailer.
  12. As I clicked on this thread this was going to be my response....
  13. Who the hell is chopping onions here!! I don't see anyone.....
  14. The Standard Up Paddle and Surfski crew still do these downwind dashes weekly.
  15. I'm happy I saw this post and even happier I contributed. @buffy do you still need to pop into Crown for anything as I can go past there on my way home tonight if need be?
  16. Hi Keith Ashley, Sorry to hear this, I hope you weren't injured. Where about in the main road? Maynard Mall side or further down towards Suzuki South side. Were you alone? Was another car involved? I ride through the area weekly hence all the questions.
  17. I took my girls to Constantia Uitsig bike park too many times this holidays :-( We've done lower Tokai a good few times too so was thinking, Meerendal and Bloemendal to those beginner trails. Which one would you suggest for a very keen 9 year old, a keen 6 year old and the wife?
  18. Myself and a mate are keen. I contacted The Bike park and was going to do it through them but if it means we all get our permit on the same day then I'm happy. I can meet you at the Tokai office tomorrow morning to sort it out?
  19. Welcome to cycling, I want to talk you out of it because it's a financial mistake but I can't... The pleasure in riding is second to none, you can drive the same road but when you cycle it you appreciate it's beauty. Regardless of where you are in SA there's always something pretty to look at (scenic view, the landscape is what I mean!!) So yes make sure of your size, when you get a list post it here. Lots of guys and girls know there stuff and are always willing to help.
  20. At first I thought you were joking and as I read on I realised you're not joking.... I'm not good with words so the only way I can express myself is by saying WTAF?? So the folks that came to talk to you, were/are they well paid? Do they enjoy the job that they are in? Why do they drag there feet on a task? I'm amazed at the mentality hence the questions, I've had shitty jobs but I think I still did them to the best of my ability. I worked there till I found another job but never slacked off.... well not all the time and mostly when others weren't looking...
