  1. I cycled in from Tableview yesterday in morning traffic and happened to be riding next to a cop while going through this section towards Mowbray. Waved at the cop who opened his window and I asked him if he was prepared to do anything about the 17 cars parked every 30m along the bike lane and he just smiled and said he had more important things waiting for him in the office. I smiled while shaking my head....
  2. Happy StarWars day peeps! My favourite one though is...

    MotoGP

That would've meant passing his BFF.... He prefers being the tail gunner! The kid is ridiculously fast! Couldn't help myself but shout for him in his first GP season, but sadly I've soured to his sportmanship efforts in latter seasons, despite his riding skill!
  5. Suppose I should rather post this two stroke info here than on the Stellenbosch trials vs bikers thread.... Maico make a 700cc 2 stroke beast... http://motocrossacti...nd-keihin-carbs There's a supermotard version of this now too! Search google to hear some of the most insane two stroke grunts ever! Here's some of the history on it: http://articles.superhunky.com/4/52 There's also a crew of chaps in the US who take old CR500 motors and drop then into updated Honda MX frames. https://www.serviceh.../cr500af05.html I raced back in the day when methanol was the fuel! The smells are what has kept me a petrolhead to this day!
  6. Haha, where did you find the lift Stretch?? #whatwouldevando?
  7. Welcome dudes! Look forward to your flavour of chirps in the threads! Friday is funday in these parts!!!!
  8. Hi welcome! The thread you are looking for is here: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/46285-durbanville-area-roadies/ There's an active crew of people who set up rides from time to time. Weekdays that side sees both the Sportsworld and CWC cycles chaps hosting rides that go out that way. Enjoy the whole process of getting into it! It is properly addictive!
  9. Where's the pump track pics???? Aaaah wait, you've got wood to make some obstacles for riding over! AWESOME... Joking aside, it looks like you are firmly sorted out there Bonus and Wendy! Enjoy every second of the process!
  10. #atleastheisconsistent... #evanyoubisssssskit! When is his birthday again? Evan day was rad fun! #whatwouldevando?
  11. Piktchas! No piktchas.... (Want to see if you're REALLY working on the garden or doing a pump track layout before Wendy gets there!) Sideline note: Did you wake up this morning and think how cool it is that you don't have to get an e-tag to drive on the highway there?
  12. So they've won the team time trial, got a 3rd and 7th in individual time trial so far, with the road race to go. Decent results! (Anyone perhaps know what result they need to ensure SA gets the extra Olympic qualification spot?)

  15. Was just thinking the same! Well done Matt! Lekka to see!!! (Imagine a discount for 1000+ post count...)
  16. The gift that keeps on giving! #whatwouldevando?
  17. The event is next week. The last event was SA champs. The riders in form for right now would be the ladies who secured results at SA champs. Not difficult to understand. Pitching up and getting a podium at SA champs is not a one hit wonder, one race affair! Even the media briefing makes it obvious that Ashleigh's team commitments have precluded her from participation, not the actual results of the SA champs to put that selection criteria to bed. Who were you hoping to see on the team?
  18. So SA National champs started little more than a week ago, so form would be based on the most current possible event and they've selected the people who came first, second, third and seventh at SA champs in the road race. The rider finishing seventh in the road race came 2nd in the time trial a few days earlier. What other results are you referring to?
  19. Imagine this bike in a plus size wheel...
  20. Matt, will I see you at the Manuel Fumic coffee ride Friday dude?
