  1. Isn't this the thread where the gnome story with Tumbles began? Wasn't MONS the unofficial owner of this thread?
  2. Awesome ND!
  3. NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Surreal Entirely gutted..... McCallum family, I am so very sorry! Bazza, missing you already!
  4. Did this thread perhaps fall off everyone's radar until Uni mentioned her stay loose comment?
  5. For Tumbles who regularly posts sunrise photos to this thread. Past Friday's sunset on the beach. (No filter) (I'll get a morning pic for you soon Bazza!) #BazzaMustRise!

  8. What is sharp at 1am? #BazzaMustRise!
  9. Haha Myles... You got me! Well played!
  10. Did someone say pizza, beer and hubbers together? Those are all Tumbles qualities! (If Bazza was a movie character I would picture him like this dude!)
  11. (Why is it that Bazza has a way of smiling that makes it impossible for you not to smile back?) Really enjoying the pictures and stories! Big up! Come on Tumbles, you've got this! If anyone has the capacity to overcome, it's you dude!
  12. It's crazy to consider that this is happening... I really like what you did Nancy! Please can we post up some more pics we have of Bazza doing what he does, how he does it! Need to see his face in some pages here man! (This is from a thread where I had a whole lot of interaction with Tumbles!) https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/144832-i-cant-afford-a-harley-but-i-think-ive-found-a-solution-to-my-midlife-crisis/?p=2497598
  13. Hallo. Welkom! https://www.bikehub.co.za/f/90-skills-techniques/
  14. Bazza, please bru, keep hanging tough!
  15. WOW Fanie, you're like a super speurder dude! Also check from here: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/108258-show-us-your-pets/?p=2808411
  16. Stoked to hear you had a major blast Hayley!!!! Never too late to get into it! Be amped that you had the courage to check it out at all! The first 6 months are the most difficult part. In that time, there's no such thing as waiting for quality waves, there's only quantity time in the water! Beware, once you're fully into it, it's more than a hobby and all those corny cliches finally start having meaning, like only a surfer knows the feeling! Oh and welcome to the tribe! Parting thought - Waiting for waves is OK, some people spend their whole lives waiting for nothing at all!
  17. More birthday wishes!!!! Hope you had a super lekka day!
  18. Shot to the crew providing updates! It is like a 'Bazza Munga' following the daily changes. Amped for the small victory that is the kidney functions!
  19. Haha, you fishing I see! Coppi was so out of line! WP was just doing the right thing ekse! If any of the regulars had seen that ahead of him, then they would've done the tuning! Plus, you've covered the pseudo Dad angle! (Coppi should be sending a case of choc sterri stumpies to NZ asking for forgiveness!)
  20. Haha! Whoop whoop! That's it! Get the practise out the way for when you next visit here and we'll road trip up the coast chasing waves! For the wetsuit. Take a plastic packet with. Put your foot into it and push through the wet suit. You'll get in sooooo much easier. Can even do it with your hands to get them through the arms too. Especially if the suit you are wearing is damp or hasn't been worn in a long time. Somehow either of those scenarios makes the suit a little sticky to get on. If the water's properly cold, you may want to get hold of an old 2plus litre water bootle. (5lt works better) and top it up with only warm water from the tap before you leave home. Put it somewhere in the sun whilst you're surfing and when you get out and get back to your rig, Open the suit and pour the warm water over. You'll warm up quick, remove the salty crustiness that settles on your face after the saltwater dries, rinse out the hair to prevent it drying out and rinse out the wetsuit, adding life to that too!
  21. A further echo of thanks Kevin! Totally appreciate you making the time to 'visit' with us and share what is the current situation with Bazza, who is an integral part of this community spanning many years! Please know that you are not the only middle aged man all teared up weighing up the full reality of this major life event! Your family is very much in our thoughts!!!!
  22. Nice work Myles. We need these updates. As this unfolds it's getting more crazy to consider exactly how critical Tumbles's condition is!
  23. Whoa!!!! This is mad! Bazza, when you get a chance to read this thread, I hope you're feeling OK and holding onto some great thoughts of a trip somewhere with golden beaches, warm water, great cocktails and pretty waitresses! Oh and constant offshore waves! Stoked that this has not ended up worse than it already is!
  24. Excellent BK! My neighbour ran her first marathon today so I've been keeping an eye on conditions throughout the day! The wind seemed brutal, with window frames rattling through the night and all morning! Glad to hear you had a great day out and got a new PB! Congrats!!!!
  25. I didn't run it, but it must've been severely challenging conditions for today's Peninsula Marathon, billed the fastest marathon in Africa... The headwind has been up and howling all day! The only way to get a PB will have been to run your first marathon I think! Wind was 30+km\h since the start and gusting to 65km\h before 10! Massive respect to those that finish! Did anyone in this thread run it?
