    Saris Bones

I got mine about 2-3 months ago, used it on a few variety of cars and never had any problems. The feet are big rubber blocks don't see how they can scratch the paint. If they leave indentations then your bumper definitely comes from Hong Kong
  3. See the professional regarding this. Pins and needles is generally a lack of blood circulation in that part of the body.
  4. This stuff is crazing but I have to admit have motor paced behind traffic, trying to get a speeding fine on my bike. The women was rather shocked when she checked her mirror and there I was!!!!
  5. The problem with this water point is that you might just stop here and never leave......
  6. No food or water for 9 days.......
  7. Silverbacks have very little resale potential. Bianchi all the way and I'm on an aluminium one!!!
  8. You should put an address and some location information so that prospective people can visit the shop
  9. Rather unfortunate, falling off a bicycle is eina!! But off a motorcycle is EEEEIIIINNNNNAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! Hope the dude is ok and recovers quickly
  10. Not sure if there is a group there but I know of alot of MTBers that come to Alberton to ride at Rietvlei Cycle park
  11. Sounds very very true!!!!
  12. If you are interested I have 3 heart rate based programs already set up up. Two are from polar. PM me your email address and I'll forward them to you.
  13. Bradley, see on Sat, sure we riding together
  14. I have one. Had it since April, never had any problems. Enjpy mine thoroughly, use it for both running and riding. Data transfers to pc are much easier as infared isn't used. Software is similar to polar, slightly cheaper looking though.
  15. What is the date for this event?
  16. Rand water board road I wouldn't suggest as I have heard of people have been Hi jacked there. Think now that winters here the thugs are still sleeping by the time we come past!
  17. Molifi that doesn't sound dangerous so you will be okay. Max I've got mine to is 200. HR is a good indication of how hard you body is working, so for those "recovery" days and LSD rides you would want a lower HR. For the intervals you want a higher HR to get used to the accumulation of Lactic acid in your muscles. I have a HR based training program. If your interested PM me your email address.
  18. Stewie I am assuming you have tried that cold-hot-cold-hot shower thing, so it probably doesn't effect you. But for anyone else trying that BE CAREFUL if your body isn't able to increase the circulation that quickly, blood will stop going to your brain and you will pass out! Here I speak from experience.
  19. Complately depends on what you intend doing with it. If you only want to use it while cycling maybe going for one that is cycling specific might work for you. If you plan on using it for multiple sports make sure it is compatible for say running and riding. If you want software with your watch that normally adds a sizeable chunk to your price.
  20. Whey as Edman says is a protein derive from milk, casein is also a protein derived from milk. Whey protein is a fast release protein which is better for post rides so muscle repair can take place. Just my 2c worth. My post ride used to consist of a cold hot chocolate and a serios breakfast. If you want you can add a substance called glutamine into your post excercise, this supposedly helps with lactic acid accumulation resulting in no stiff legs the next day!

    Helmets?

I smashed an old helmet last year into pieces, not sure how old the helmet was, would say easy 5 years. I T-boned a car and landed on my head, it seemed to work perfectly, I'd say probably true but not too serious to worry about. Just because its only warantied for certain period doesn't mean its useless thereafter(Think about a car for example)
  22. I'm 17 years old and my dad is quiet a gym bunny, knows about roids and bla bla bla. Not once have I ever considered using any performance enhancing substances. But then again I'm probably not at the same level of riding he is at! Hope for his sake he doesn't screw up his riding. MobileBikeTec, if he trusts you, be careful about approaching his parents. This could betray his trust and then you would never know if anything else came up. I'd suggest chat to him about it, ask him if he has told/asked his parents. You will also then see if its problem children or problem parents!
  23. Guys I might be sounding dumb, but according to my calendar, the 29th of November is a Monday? Where you guys starting from - riding to?
  24. I'm a roadie, but we run all our cross country events there. And what an awesome place!!!! Big up to Wendell!
  25. I used to commute home from school and to and from gym. 1 must, if you see something fishing happening, stop and let the idiot do what he/she needs. I crashed twice, once due to moron on cellphone, other due to "not been seen". Resulting in T - boning a car, bending front fork and smashing helmet into a million little pieces!
