  3. Sounds probable, but once heard that carbon is one of the strongest materials around so don't think it should be too much of a problem, but then again I could be extremely wrong. Please don't quote me.

  9. All different shoes will probably fit so its preference, the model of the shoe is what you want to try differ. Also try ride with "inserts" they stretch the bottom of the shoe allowing for space for your feet.

  12. Hi guys was wondering which is a better way to train. Training using your total time or mileage covered?
  13. SS timing does more of the Triathlon and Duathlon events, if you only going to use it once a year then i wouldn't suggest buying it. If you going to do a few races buy one, they are one of the best timers i've come across. Results are up same day usually by 4pm!! I got one for my triathlons and for me it was a great buy!
  14. Is a group thats meets in alberton not sure if you will to drive, park your car and cycle to the corner? If you feeling strong you can even leave early and cycle tot the corner? Corner Klipriver and Swartkoppies @ 7 every Sat and Sun

  16. Personally i'd get disc brakes as need them to keep my heart beating, no use of HRM monitor if your heart no longer beating due to lack of stopping power
  17. Thanks guys awesome response, now just need to borrow a few tools. And i'm back to a 10 speed
  18. Hi guys. last week Sunday i fell off the bike a bent my rear deraileur hanger, dad attempted to bend i back and it snapped. So eventually got a new one that fits perfectly and put all the parts back on the bike but now i am not able to shift into my smallest cog. Have fiddled with the High and Low setting but doesn't seem to help. Please help?
  19. The very basic ones, no just read HR at specified time, but sure as you go up slightly in pricing you'll be able to find one. I'm geussing you might have better luck with a cycle computer or Garmin type unit
  20. I have HR monitor that i use in conjuction with my phone. Records HR throughout run and ride but no software or comparisons avaliable. You could use a biasic monitor and set up an excel spreadsheet to save and compare your data. Your choice. Dad's got a polar 725 and its rather mean, ultimatly its so pricey for the software!
  21. Andy from experience, roadie bikes definitely not made for rain, rain is precisely why i'm full of roasties and have a sore shoulder. Kieran sorry bud, need to do long ride b4 Fast 1, also need to test the new deraler hanger
  22. Slave i give up! Andy you know you want to Ride SBR, i do have a solution for you though to add some distance, bunch of guys parking at circus ridin to SBR doing the loop and riding back to the circus. How about that?
  23. Yes Kid, that obvious though and i'm in the same boat, not going anywhere near that place in the wet especially after sunday's wet fall. Andy if i had the strength for that i would but right now sorry man i'll have to pass, maybe in a few years time
