  1. I've had a very similar experience in the Faerie Garden. Came round the corner to look a horse in the face. But the horse was pretty chilled and the guy riding it was very friendly.
  2. I have no real idea where I am - but they say its somewhere close to Sabie! So beautiful in a different way here - one can't see the wood for the trees (or for the swirling mist!). Going to God's Window today. BUT PLEEEZ upload your pics - if you can! I've given up trying! Ronelle, you are like a nomad! Forever somewhere different in the country! Sounds so exciting.
  3. Willy - when are you coming back? Does the doc still have you off the bike?

  5. I did this ride on a tandem with Fatty. My goodness - that was definately the fastest I have ever done a race!! After quite a bit of protesting, we started in H, but had caught G within the first 30 min. It was incredibly HOT out there today! Things got quite exciting at the end when two folk decided to sprint for 213th place taking each other out. I got the fright of my life and I see on my polar, that was MAX heart rate! I was even grabbing for the "break leavers" on the back of the tandem! But all-in-all a brialliant day - finishing with a time of 2h23. Thanks a MILLION to FattCyclist for being such a fabulous pilot and to Kilomaster for letting us take Queeny out on her maiden voyage!
  6. No - Syco-ling is Midge.
  7. I don't have a couch pic...but here is Vinny none the less
  8. I'm just a bit worried about the 13kg weight though - should I worry?
  9. Does anyone know if Rocky mountains are selling at cost in the WCape?
  10. I'm 1,72m tall, and I'm really comfy on my Merida Mission 500. I've apparantly got quite long legs with a comparatively small torso - so I have a small frame. I also looked a few ladies specific options - but they were all quite pricey. I really liked the Giant, but that back shock did not lock out. I'm not 100% sure how easy it will be to on-sell a female specific bike. My 2c worth.
  11. This was after your DC ride hey? No wonder you left prizegiving so quickly!
  12. sorry Fatty! You had your chance, but you wanted to sleep in! So not only can I rub it in that I was there this morning, but just to let you know the ST is really AWESOME at the moment. Enjoy your ride home in the traffic
  13. I noticed last week that someone has done quite a bit of work on the single track in Tokai. I've only really ridden two sections at the top recently, otherwise I'm late for work, but the one section in particular has been fixed so nicely. Thank you to whomever it is for your time and effort! We really are quite blessed to just rock up and have it fixed, like the fairies just came and did it. (Now we just need someone to mow away the thistle and fynbos at Majik)Mrs Colonel2008-11-25 03:38:14
Why are you saying shame?
  15. Malmesbury is also a good option
  16. I know my sister got appts quite easily in East London (I think the Gonubie department) and then again in Stutterheim (shame, she failed). I know that she got a 2nd appointment when she could could show proof from her employer that a drivers was essential for her job. Apparantly they "block out" some appts for that.
