I cycle on a Tues and Thurs morning at 5h15 from Sunningdale - usually towards the Durbanville area - and I'm back home by 7 (or just after). We generally get in 40 - 50km.

Last week I got some dirt in my eye, and my friend that was riding with me told me to stop looking for sympathy...and then our friend Murphy paid a visit - he was stung by a bee not even two minutes after dismissing me. I nearly killed myself laughing (after I checked if he was allergic).

As I have said, I don't read the ride, so I can't comment on that, but Bicycling certainly falls short of "reporting" on local races and "pros". I really think that they should focus more on this. For example - around silly season - there was so much talk about who is signing where, and not one article covering this in the magazine. People want to know this - send someone out there, get the info and write an article. Surely it's not that hard? And local races - loads of folk fork out entry fees - maybe a few pages each month with a round up of results and general conditions etc. Pretty much like Supercycling, but in Magazine format Just my thoughts...

It has a chemical smell - and some people may like that , but I find it quite harsh. Not nice

I think that Ride need to change their printer - the magazine smells funny. Not sure if it is the ink or the paper...but I don't read it because it stinks, literally.

I have the pink ones! Personally, I think all cycling shoes are terrible looking, but I fell in love with these guys! If I could, I swear I would wear them out with jeans I bought mine from Cycle Lab, Westlake in December and paid about R750
