Yip Pops - phoned them on Friday and went there on Saturday as well. They don't even have the Specialized Torch shoes (my 2nd option) at the moment. They say that they are getting some stock in. It seems like bike shops always have "stock coming"

ha ha guys!! Back to the point...has anyone seen a pink pair in a shop??

hah Pops! Nope - I do actually seriously well and truly need new shoes (and I got a professional opinion on this)

Ok - so here's the deal. Flandria seem to be the only people in the cape who stock Scott ladies shoes, and 10 points to them for sourcing me a pair. I sat in the traffic for 55 min on the N1 in 44 degree heat on Saturday to go through and try the one and only pair that they had. They were too small, so they are getting me another pair...but the thing is...they only have them in white with "lavender" (looks purple to me) trimming. Has anybody actually SEEN the pink shoes in a shop?? Please let me know....valentines day is a mere 3 sleeps awayMrs Colonel2008-02-11 05:22:06

YES!!! This is exactly what happened. He had also just put a brand new seat on his bike which he messed up trying to show off as well. Flip - that was very funny - thanks for reminding me! Maybe that's why he isn't riding!!

Colonel did this ride with me last year - and he got dq'ed for crossing the white line. Quite a hard start, but it's a really really nice ride. The most difficult part was Polkadraai.I also rememeber it being FLIPPIN hot. Not sure that I feel like waking up before God to get to Somerset West on time though...

It's almost Valentines day... *cough* *cough* The shoes with a bit of breakfast in bed from the Colonel will be just fine for you I reckon. What an excellent idea! *cough* *cough*
