You need a bike for 100 miler gravel rides and proper MTB trails with friends. A gravel bike cannot do proper MTB trails. I have a monster cross, but it still beats me up over 100 miles. My MTB, on the other hand, is almost as quick and A LOT more comfortable and capable

Personally, id like to see more Team Time Trial events, those really get the club rivalries going. I'd also like to see more teams in A Batch, 947 usually offers some team dynamics and strategy in A Batch, not so much in the smaller races. Another idea, reverse the start times, let the elites come in last while the finishers grab a couple beers while waiting to see the pros finish.

The Herald, after doing it for the first time this year, is now one of my favorites. Up there with Amashova and 947. Ill be back in 2023

Yes, my mate finished with the peleton last year and rode a 2h39, although, the race was won by the break. And in 2019 the results are on racetec and a laaitie klapped us with a 2h29

Just checked, the A Batch peleton did a 2h29 on the previous route and a 2h39 on the new route

Yes, TB are trying to cut costs, but not for the reasons you might think. Politics have come into play and everyone wants a bigger cut of the pie. Willowmore, the taxi association, the reserve just to name a few. You'd think that a one horse town like Willowmore would be more thankful.
