  1. My LBS know me by name, they call me when there is an issue on my bike provide me with solutions and costs for each. They give me advice. I never ask for discount, yet they always offer me a special rate. They are not the cheapest, but I trust them to always look after me
  2. Our club has used both BioRacer and GSG as kit manufacturers. Both offer exceptional, race fit quality at affordable prices
  3. Times must be seriously tough if people are willing to sell their reputation for R149! Unbelievable
  4. There is literally a water crossing after every checkpoint with a supply box, so just stick with the socks on your feet and ride on 😁👌
  5. Repo rate is up Fuel price is higher than ever Cost of living is through the roof Pre covid winters used to be as quiet as this, pair that with the reasons above, it's no surprise that business is slow But, summer is coming 😎👌
  6. Epic Evo is 120mm front and 110mm rear Spark RC Team is 120mm front and rear So the suspension is similar from a travel perspective, however, I found the RC setup to be more aggressive, which I prefer
  7. Iv got the RC Team, had an Epic Evo previously. I love the bike, the ride is smooth and responsive. If it's built and set up properly from the get go then you shouldn't have any issues
  8. @Ki11gar you still making these?
  9. Fortunately these scumbags make up such a small minority of the greater cycling community. I'm sorry that you were on the receiving end of such an act of hate. Hopefully you can track him down
  10. I'm pretty sure that he only uses the 130 when racing? Maybe something bigger when training for more data fields?
  11. You can't go wrong with a 520, bought mine used and had it for 3 years before upgrading to 530. Well, didn't really upgrade, lost my 520 after I forgot it on the back of my bakkie and drove off.
  12. Yeah, I think I might just do that. He is so comfortable on his balance bike that I might just put the pedal bike away a while longer
  13. I'd definitely recommend it, bought an orange one for my laaitie. His balance is good, now it's just getting him to balance and pedal. Fitted training wheels for now
  14. Oooooooh la la 😍
  15. Power pedals are easily transferred, can't go wrong with Vector 3 or Assioma. Single sided was all I needed, a couple extra metrics didn't warrant the double sided extra cost, personally. 4iiii or Stages Left side crank arms are also easily transferable, as long as you don't change crank lengths or crank brands. It's an affordable option. I use my pedals on my road, TT, indoor trainer and even on my gravel at times
  16. Nothing wrong with wheel on trainers, but I've often seen the bug bite and clients dump the wheel on to go direct drive. Direct drive trainers are quieter, more accurate, more responsive, no slippage, more resistance, no need for constant calibration (if any), no tyre wear.
  17. Direct drive smart trainer, I wouldnt look at anything else
  18. The lightest bike that I could find for my 5y old was a Norco Samurai 16" at 8kg
  19. No kudos for guessing the age correctly?
  20. Cradle was Hella fresh this morning. First time going beyond -5
  21. Funny story, I've successfully fixed a ton of rugby and soccer balls with tyre sealant
  22. Yeah, I guess in the end of the day it's a rigid hardtail and won't be gravel bike quick and I can't think that any bike running 2.2s will be as quick as a gravel bike. I'm not planning on racing mine anyway, but I do love riding it. Literally took it out this morning for a lekker 80km gravel ride
  23. I hear you, I used a Specialized Stumpjumper HT frame, in hindsight I should probably have gone for something more aggressive and probably 1 frame size smaller than my usual. A nice epic HT frame would be ideal
  24. I had a Titan Switch with 2x11, really enjoyed the range. Used it mostly for training on the road
  25. Depends on the item, R25 for small things, R50 for everything in between and R75 for bikes
