  3. Apparently, (not confirmed) the IM management having a meeting with Dept, of Health today to determine whether the event will take place. I am sure those that have entered, will be advised as soon as a decision is made. Holding thumbs that it goes ahead for all those who have trained so hard!!! We'll be there to support, loud shouting, but sadly no High Fives this year!!!!!

  8. And then my Achilles decides to insert a little tear which has scuttled the Africa Series hopes for 2020! So ...... No East London, deferred IM to 2021. Maybe do Durban 70.3. Start again! Best of luck to all those doing EL and then in particular FULL PE. I'll be there to support! Happy training!

  15. I needed the group sessions for motivation and training under a legend like Ray Tissink is pretty cool! The programme definitely assisted me in achieving my goal.
  16. That's how it sucked me in, in the first place!
  17. So, for the additional 10% needed, here's my account in brief. At 50 and some change decided it's time. Joined 3T Tissink Training. (Essential part of my journey) MTB Tumble - PCL off, recon and back to the schedule. 2018 Dbn Half. 2019 - Got the Medal. Training is tough, but rewarding. The Race is awesome! Loved the whole experience. Will I do it again? Hell yes! Hoping for Africa Series in 2020.
  18. My Team, well done you two, so bummed the lurgy kept me from starting with you!! One and only Tandem to start and finish!
  19. Horns or no horns, you bang the bars with your ribs, they gonna hurt!
  20. These little Thumb Horns to take the pressure off the palms on the long rides. Tried over 100km and super comfy. Now to put them to the test at Trans Baviaans.
  21. Not from Cape area, but is the West Coast Road not a decent length fairly flat piece of road for an FTP?
