Hi Everyone, Any idea of how long these tyres last? Friend of mine have been using the Schwalbe indoor for the past 10 months. Let's say 1 hour a day three days a week. It starter developing bubble, Is this too soon or expected?

Ah that would be the dream if one could cycle from Durbanville all the way to city center and be safe. A few years ago I cycled from Table view to waterfront as a student for about two months. All along the my city route. Looking back, it was definitely ignorance and youthful immortality thinking, but wow what a dream it was. There is just a different enjoyment to cycling too and from work, your brain just switches off. Most days I would arrive home not remembering what happened along the road. I would go as far as to say I would pay money to do that again if it means it would be safe.

This I would say is your best option, shimano 12 speed. Set and forget about the gears, cheap to maintain. Rockshox air for the win and the bike looks cool.

Reviving this one a bit. Do any of you know where I could get a replacement for the white o-ring? Apparently it’s 1x17mm.

I was going to recommend a set of Gatorskins, but I see far gone are the days you could buy a set for R1100. I’ll be honest I think GP5000’s would be overkill for him and for what he would like to do.

Hi Everyone I have friend that recently bought a secondhand Giant Contend with tubeless tyre's on. The tyre's are close to then end of their life. What tyres would you guys recommend he replace it with? He is training for the half Ironman and he would probably sell the bike at the end of it. He just started cycling and wouldn't necessarily need the top or fastest tyres, just something that will as far as possible stop him from getting a puncture.

I can confirm you need your climbing legs and the main gravel roads are enough. 1000m elevation gain over 35km. Beautiful area and can highly recommend it.

Yeah sounds like the hanger might be the issue. I’ve been on my 12 speed shimano setup for the past 5 years. And my experience has been it’s really set and forget. With the odd cable replacement.
