  1. Hi Everyone Our Q-Lock 15 axle disintegrated on a ride with our Avalanche Envi with the Epicon 29er fork. Do any of you know where I could get it from?
  2. The following should be gravelbike friendly, my wife and I once did it on our MTB tandem as well. You see a bit of everything and it really beautiful. Local hubbers are we still able to do the rout? I did it pre-Covid when the world ended. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/55279093
  3. Was thinking the new spark as well. I'm a huge Scott fanboy but when the day comes for a soft tail then I'll 100% go for the previous gen Spark, just for the ease of mind when wanting to service the bike.
  4. Lekker to see the you guy jumping like that, I'm more of a roller, even though a can hold my own down Armageddon I'm not one for jumps. One trip to the dentist after some chipped teeth healed me from the need to see daylight between my wheels and the horizon.
  5. Haha ah makes sense, yes I'm on a HT and im rarely bothered by chain slap. I'll definitely take this into account when I upgrade to a dual sus.
  6. This is going to be quite the controversial comment but I’ve been cycling with the clutch off for more than a year and have been very happy with the shifting. Only this past week when I replaced the outer and inner cable I decided to try the derailleur again with the clutch on, only to find when flipping the clutch lever there was no resistance, as if the lever was connected to nothing😅
  7. Please post where you ended up getting a service kit, I suspect I’m in the same boat with mine.
  8. Finally what a beaut. Now we just need the rest of the guys to show off their bikes😎
  9. Bump, we want photos
  10. @Mattman and @woodrow my 189cm XL dad bod wants to see pictures, we are all waiting in anticipation.
  11. Yap we want pictures,
  12. Now that is something I would climb on board with, they make cool bikes but yes without the proprietary parts I think you'll have more people buying bikes from them.
  13. I’m very curious to figure out why they have kept the brain, is it so that you are forced to services your bike at a specialized shop at a premium? if you have a evo Epic then you can service it at any shop because you don’t have that brain component in the fork and shock. Most things on my bike I’ll do myself , but not really the suspension. So I wouldn’t buy a bike if it means I need to send it to a certain retailer to get the suspension serviced. So the Evo makes it exciting cause it should be a simpler bike to service in the bigger picture of things.
  14. Huge fan of the guys, not necessarily the brand. But seeing the bikes with the manual twist lockout makes me happy. Now we just need a budget friendly Epic Evo with deore 12 speed groupset, XT shifter and the twist lockout for those punchy climbs. Then I get to pretend I put out the same watts as those guys and pedal a sick bike at a budget😎.
  15. @devvydoesdonuts and I might have to pitch up in a Volkswagen Transporter disguised as a bike servicing shop. Then we have one bike stand with a bike hanging and 5 drum braais in the background making boeries, Espadas and pregos. You know we are hungry mechanics.
  16. Wow that sucks, and was that at this years epic? I see a gap in the market, next year I'm pitching up with a Boerewors roll stand, chipstix on the side with a steri stumpie.
  17. What did you guys eat post race? And what was offered?
  18. We are known to make up our own stats as a bikehub community but 9/10 is a bit high😅
  19. Anyone know the timestamp on the YouTube streem of Niños fall? Or would care to share a video?
  20. As everyone said tomorrow is going to be insane,I see the Specialized guys are only 1:32 behind Scott.
  21. Seeing that this is all Epic, I’m very curious to find out how do the Cape Epic attract people like Nino, Does he get paid to take part and to make media posts? A few days leading up to the race he would make some Epic posts on instagram. I’m just curious on how the economics work around the athletes . I understand that this might not be the place but if anyone knows or has some insight please send me a DM.
  22. I’m very curious to hear what your experience is between the two? I currently have a 2012 scultura and I see it’s geometry is very similar to the new reactos. How did the Defy feel in comparison, is the new bike too upright and not racy enough for you?
  23. It has been done Correction, forget what I said
  24. Just put on a dropper post then you have the perfect bike, ready for any downhill pass.
