  1. Is there anywhere we can see the full route details?
  2. That's right. I swapped a set of broken plastic pedals from one of my kids bikes. Here's the upgrade link: http://bicicletta.myshopify.com/collections/pedal-upgrades
  3. So I learn something new every day. I've had my Reverb for about 2 years and never knew one could adjust it or even put air in it.
  4. This is the official T-shirt for the 'Die Burger PPA Cycle Tour'. It sure looks like a PPA race to me. Just saying.

  8. The different makes and models of goggles have slightly different shapes. You have to go to a shop and try them on until you find one that sticks to your face without the strap. Then you know that it's the right one that won't leak.
  9. Omnico are the agents, but you will have to take it to your LBS who will then send it in. Some LBS's also do it themselves.
  10. This is an ideal practice ride for the Argus. The 97 isn't particularly difficult, so give it a bash. You still have more than a month to get some good training in. Just finishing it within the cutoff time will give you a better seeding for the Argus than you would have had. There are a few waterpoints along the way, but I'm not sure about what technical support there is. Last year I did it on a MTB with slicks and that's when I realised I needed a road bike because I kept running out of gears on the downhills.
  11. I've been there a couple of Wednesdays and have mostly been riding by myself because I couldn't keep up with any bunch, but I'm definitely improving as a result of pushing really hard.
  12. Tuesday is the PPA training session - not racing at all..

  14. One popular method to determine the correct chain length is to put the new chain over the largest chainring and the largest cog and then add 2 links.
  15. You won't have a problem with this one. Between the Outriders and PPA, the organisation will be excellent. With regards to photo's/results, try phoning Carinus Lemmer, the organiser of the Heritage Cycle. His number is 073 981 8156
  16. I'll be there in the slower group.
