Don't joke If it is 39 degrees at Midlands Ultra I will take my camelback!! Ok so I don't have bottle cages on my frame (bottom tube)... I need to find an aerodynamic holder thingy that I can fasten there for my tools/tubes...... Anyone aware of something like this??

Hey Stiggy it seems I will be doing the Argus. Due to it being so close to IM I am trying to arrange the following:- 1. Nice easy 20km run the Saturday 2. Bike collection - the guy collecting my bike at the finish will hand me tekkies and I will do a 10km brick run right after my Argus race. 3. If time allowed it I would love to do a swim but the water is very cold in CT even with a wetsuit....

I think Dave needs to post pics of his hydration cable tie system. Why do people put bottle cages on the frame like a road bike?

IM bloem!! Perfect venue. Neutral geographic placement and lots of quiet roads as an option - closing them wont affect so many people. Lots of cheap accomodation. What more do you want??

It is OK. The dangerous portion is when you turn around on the N1 and go off to the left. The next 20km (until you go past the airport the second time) is the dangerous part. Especially the first part there is some reformed melted tar. There are also a few minor potholes. Best sit in the first couple of wheels and stay away from the side of the road.

Kyk die groter deel van die bondel behoort nie so mal vining te begin nie - kom ons traai by hulle bly. As mens afval is dit beter of vir CL dan te wag en aan te haak. 5 ouens alleen op die highway sal werk maar ek kan jou belowe jy gaan suffer teen die tyd wat die bulte begin.... Die bondels spring seker net 3 - 5 minute van mekaar af weg so dit is nie katatrofies as jy by CL se vinnige bondel moet aanhaak nie?? Ek gaan `n gel 06h30 eet en maar traai byhou so ver ek kan...... Dit is baie NB om by die Casino draai in die voorste deel te prober wees. Mens draai daar in `n "headwind" in met `n effense opdraende so ek beskou dit as die gevaarsone vir afbliksem........

Sure! EK en Oscar gaan 30km ry Sat oggend. 06h40 vanaf Total in LHP. Ek gaan Sondag `n swart bike ry. Wit skin top met wit Arm warmers en wit skoene. Ek dra my nommer op `n race belt maw laag. En my bike gaan `n moerse rooi strobe lig ophe wat agtertoe skyn so jy kan my letterlik nie mis nie. Moenie vir die lig kyk as jy 'n epelepsie lyer is nie.

I did a 03h07 last year. Was in moderate shape. This year I feel better prepared with the Amashova behind me. I just really hope I can stay with the group when they do the normal accelerations in the first few km's........ I hate those.

Almost every group will have sub 3 hour riders... If you can find 5 or so and work together you can bridge over I am sure of it. Just do it within 15km as this is where the highway + headwind starts.... My plan is to stay with the biggest part of the BL bunch. You always have a few crazies speeding off at the start of the race... OFM is all about numbers on the highway. The real race only starts at 75km's............

Hi there My advice is to get a second hand TT bike. Best value for money as the second hand market sucks.... Just consider what is out there and compare. Go look now on the Hub's classifieds....
