  1. Would kill for some pizza, I'm having a plain rice cake
  2. I'm with you on this, just seems everyone jumps to the defense of the bike shop. Amazing that a free coffee & cookie can make all things rosy again. I'll try that in future when there is a problem that needs to be swept under the rug. As Dangle pointed out the respose from CC was all a bit too generic.
  3. Thats what I'm thinking? Was it done for aesthetics or for a technical reason, in that it is more important?
  4. Why is it that when you buy a bike with lower speced components the rear derailluer is always one spec up. For example, it will have deore shifters, FD, cranks and then you get a SLX rear deraileur. Whats that about, or are tey trying to tell you/us something?
  5. Why not go do one of the Yellow saddle courses/ or a bike maintanence course, that way you can do it all yourself, and the knowledge will last you a lifetime and be worth every cent. Just my 2c.
  6. It came direct from your post, "Their fat and psychopathic wives would thrash them", sounds a bit S&M to me. My heads all fine. thanks very much for the concern
  7. HuH We went from laughing at other peoples wipeouts to fat & psychopathic sadomasicism.
  8. He should have gotten out a bit more.
  9. How was the BG fit? I was suppossed to be going today for ErgoFIT/ ErgoMax, but have had to cancel due to ill health, so booked in for next week.
  10. Yeah, it was all about the width and shape for me, my ass only seems to like Spez saddles
  11. Who is the peanut gallery that you are referring to? I ride with a Spez Phenom Comp 143mm, I know its hard and it pretty much starts that way, Ive been riding on it for 6 months now, and still as hard as the day I bought it.
  12. Nice work , and finally a face to the name . Will Borat be making a cameo again this year?
  13. Is this the Phenom Comp? If so, its hard.
  14. I laughed cause it was funny. You telling me you have never laughed at someone because of a mishap. Think "America's Funniest Home Videos" I've confessed many times on the Hub to my falls and mishaps, gosh I came back from a Cape Town riding trip with more bumps and bruises then I would care to imagine. Some as ridiculous as a rock stuck in front of my tyre when I stopped that I did not see, and as I was about to take off after stopping and clipping in, I just fell sideways onto my elbow. Check out the clip of the KZN holiday riding in Howick and listen to the guys laughing at their mates as they wiped out, its all part of the fun. Happy Trails
  15. And so much single track, you can even get sick of it
  16. Both, and if they do, its likely a slap on the wrist.
  17. Not sure, it is just a theory. Not many guys have been prosecuted if they have been caught.
  18. Too many Mozambicans possibly? The streets aren't paved in gold anymore
  19. Even after I borrowed a 29er for a whole weekend, I still could not tell you if its the right bike for me, so not sure how you could never having ridden one. Personally I think its stupid that the manufactuers/ agents don't supply the shops with bikes to test, surely its helping both agent & LBS in the long run. The one issue is see is, what 29er do you have as a test bike? Hardtail or Dual? Maybe look at renting a bike for a day/ weekend, only shite thing is you have to pay to just experience if its the right thing, crazy I know, but just a thought.
